Would never recommend buying a car from this dealership! My son found the vehicle he wanted at this dealership. Before we left Richmond and drove 3 hours he spoke to the dealership and got fina dealership! My son found the vehicle he wanted at this dealership. Before we left Richmond and drove 3 hours he spoke to the dealership and got financing set up before leaving Myself and my son talked to the used car manager several times before leaving Richmond. I explained that wanted to make sure everything would be ready to go (car included-the car was not completed upon arrival or departure of the dealership -the fee of the car included dar cars assurance and nothing was applied to the car and certainly not driving 6 hours round trip to get it done ) so we could test drive then sign papers and leave. We were assured that was the case. After the drive we arrived and asked for the manager Someone pointed to a man that was speaking very loudly to a customer. He asked us to go take a seat. I texted the sales rep and no response. Someone did find her and sent her to us She gave my son the keys to the car for a test drive … not once showed him anything about the car or discussed the car with him (he was buying a Supra which is a bit different than a typical Toyota ). After the test drive we waited over 3 hours to get into financing dept. nobody could seem to explain why. During this time we found out the manager left after his loud conversation with a customer (didn’t find this out until I texted him asking what was going on as we needed to leave ) Finally got into financing and signed the paperwork and they handed the keys and we were told good bye ! No going over the car or doing /going over a delivery checklist NOTHING ! Now fast forward 5 weeks later … we’ve been trying to find where our permanent Va plates would be received (after several emails to financing and no response ). Also text messages to manager and sales rep went unanswered. I reached out to the GM. He apologized via email. It then took yet another email to the Dar cars owners , ceo , customer relations and GM before any response to the plates (which temp tags expiring in 8-10 days ). Then on wed 2/14/24 were told they had the plates and would overnight with signature required. My son waited at home all day for the plates. Then got an email (after we asked when the plates would arrive ) saying they were sent out th for Fri arrival ! Now TWO FULL DAYS OF NOT WORKING waiting at home for plates ! Think twice before you buy from this dealership. More
When I picked up my GR86, the sales person told me that I didn't pay enough for my car and defaced it by leaving a corrosive substance on my running board. Castor met us first thing in the morning for a test drive of a used Mazda 6. The car was in excellent condition and drove well. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! !!!!! I bought a brand-new vehicle from this dealership a few weeks ago and I must say it has been one of the WORST car buying experiences EVER. The !!!!! I bought a brand-new vehicle from this dealership a few weeks ago and I must say it has been one of the WORST car buying experiences EVER. The finance department is AWFUL!!! The Financial advisors WILL SCAM YOU by adding 10K worth of additional fees NEVER DISCUSSED onto your loan. The financial advisor was extremely rude and disrespectful to me when I called to inquire about the additional charges added to my loan. His level of unprofessionalism was ATROCIOUS, and I would not recommend anyone to go here. My family has purchased vehicles from them in the past and we have NEVER experienced this before. The OUT THE DOOR PRICE, that I was given be the sales associate PRIOR to meeting with the financial advisor was 10k less than my actual loan. Initially the sales associate insisted that I had to speak to the finance department because she was not sure what the out the door price would be. However, when I insisted on knowing the price PRIOR to going to the financial department she said she would reach out to either her supervisor or one of the financial managers to draft me up the out of door price. She came back and quoted me the out the door price on the vehicle. She proceeds to offer additional services at a discounted price, but I DECLINED these services stating that it was OUT OF MY PRICE RANGE. I made it clear NUMEROUS times throughout my time there that I wanted to stay within a certain price range. The way they treat you after you’re no longer of service is outrageous. They make promises and offer things for free or discount just to get you to sign the papers then turn around and say they never offered anything. THIS PLACE IS AWFUL. They do not communicate with each other AT ALL. Then when called out on it they blame the customer. If you do decide to buy a car from this dealership. BEWARE!!! More

I bought another car at a different Toyota dealer in annapolis and the experience was totally opposite, world class. Avoid DARCARS Toyota if at all possible. More
For those of us who live in DC, you are really forced to look to the burbs for a car purchase. I have used DARCARS for two car purchases and another Toyota deadline for two other car purchases. They cannot get you your DC tags in a timely manner. Twice now, I have had to wait months for a DC tag. And driving back to DARCARS for a new temporary tag is a hardship. Based on the other dealership experience, this is a DARCARS problem not a DC problem. Nice people. Great sales people. Fair. But the tags/title department drags them down considerably. More

When I called they were "waiting on parts" - I reminded them we needed the vehicle back as soon as possible and to call with any updates, leaving my phone number. Tech said he had 3 phone numbers - I said call any of them - they never called back. The technician was never available and all of the voicemail boxes were full. When I finally was able to get information they let me know the vehicle was ready. Would have been sitting there day after day? Their hold message states "unparalleled service" true! it's appalling! "servicing your vehicle is an honor" for whom?? "willingness to go the extra mile" yes away from the customer. Ugh! DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION FOR SERVICE More
Very poor electrical service on my jeep. Towed to Darcars three times, would not start. The starter motor was bad. They failed to diagnose.
