I had a very positive experience buying my first brand-new car at Darcars Toyota of Silver Spring. About a month later, I was contacted by Ray Alvarez that the car I had wanted was on their lot. There was no pressure to buy it (even though it was special ordered the way I had wanted), and I was offered a good deal on it with some extras added as well a good financing rate. After initially signing to buy, I got cold feet when I got home, and I asked for another week to decide. It was no problem to withdraw my initial contract (I had not yet picked up the car), and without any pressure from Darcars (even though it was the end of the month), I came back the next week and signed again when I was ready. Instead of intimidating sales pitches with an undertone of urgency to seal the deal, I appreciated the honest and laid-back approach that I received at Darcars, especially from Ray Alvarez. More
What excellent experience! I went in on a Saturday looking for a new RAV4. I felt no pressure from anyone there at anytime. I knew what I wanted to pay, and Brian (Sales) and Ethan (GM)worked with me looking for a new RAV4. I felt no pressure from anyone there at anytime. Having had all negative experiences with dealerships prior, my wife and I entered into this dealership with our guard up. Once we met Jonathan, it all changed. Between test driving the vehicle, negotiat prior, my wife and I entered into this dealership with our guard up. Once we met Jonathan, it all changed. Between test driving the vehicle, negotiating a price, and final payment, this dealership was TOP NOTCH. I honestly could not believe how great everybody was. Jonathan was a consummate professional, guiding us through every step with knowledge and care. The sales manager, (I cannot remember his name at the moment) was very professional and accomodating as well. At one point while waiting for the vehicle to be washed and gassed up (it already was clean, they brought it through again just to be nice), I was excitedly pacing through the showroom. One of the sales employees saw us, approached, and said there was coffee and hot chocolate if we would like any. All in all, I still cannot believe what a positive experience I had at Darcars Toyota. I'm send everybody I know that way from now on. More
Darcars Toyota of Silver Spring is one of the cleanest and most friendly dealership I've ever been to. I was helped immediately after I walked into the building. I was a little timid about going to a dealership to buy a car because of the stereotype of salesmen being pushy, but this was not the case. I went there to get a regular maintenance service after taking an appointment. I arrived on time and was given a time to get the vehicle back. I have a baby and we waited for 2 hours before I went and aske taking an appointment. I arrived on time and was given a time to get the vehicle back. I have a baby and we waited for 2 hours before I went and asked about the work. It was past the time given to me and it was getting late and so I wanted to take my baby back home. They took their time to locate my car and told me the work hasn't been done yet. Didn't give me a reason. I met the service director also who didn't even thought of giving an explanation. I got the impression that they do not care at all about individual customers like me. I got back home with out getting this minimum service that I can get anywhere else in 1/2 an hour time. I don't think I will ever go there. More

I was looking for a new 2010 Prius for my wife and was pleasently surprised with the way DARCARS SILVERSPRING TOYOTA treated me. My salesperson, Troia was very accomodating and knowledgeable about the car pleasently surprised with the way DARCARS SILVERSPRING TOYOTA treated me. My salesperson, Troia was very accomodating and knowledgeable about the car and answered all my questions about Hybrids very thoroughly. The General Manager Ethan is more than delightful and is very down to earth. He was very honest and upfront about the deal he could make for me and did it without any pressure. He really goes out of his way to make you feel like a valued customer. In my prior car buying experiences, it is rare to see a GM walk the floor and meet each individual customer personally ensuring them that he/she will walk out of the dealership satisfied and on the road with a new toyota. My experience at DARCARS SILVERSPRING has allowed my to refer 3 of my friends to purchase brand new toyotas and I am sure that I will refer additional customers to them in future. A few weeks ago, I apprehensively began my search for a new Toyota Highlander SE. After a horrific buying experience with a few local dealers about 3 years ago, I vowed to never to purchase a Toyota in the new Toyota Highlander SE. After a horrific buying experience with a few local dealers about 3 years ago, I vowed to never to purchase a Toyota in the DC Metro area again. I contacted Darcars Toyota of Silver Spring via email and I received a phone call from Brian Thompson. He was prompt, professional and very knowledgeable about the Highlander. I scheduled an appointment with him to test drive the Limited and SE model. Needless to say I purchased the vehicle that day without hesitation, the entire process quick, enjoyable and stress-free. I just want to say Thank you to Ethan Rossignol the GM and the entire Darcars family for restoring my faith in Toyota and in the car buying process. More
If you respect yourself, don't buy from this dealer. I took my car in for the recall. The mechanic wouldn't answer my questions about the work being done, was rude and walked out. Pretty much one of the worse customer experiences I've had in my life. Believe all the reviews you've read about the service and sales dept. They are in the business of making money. They don't care about after sales service. Very few of the staff are helpful. I've learned the hard way to research companies I give my money too. I work awfully hard for it. I don't want to give it to rude, uncaring, non helping people. Had bad experiences in sales, finance and service dept. Never has been a smooth transaction for me. They make you feel like your bothering them if you need assistance, and are curt so that you'll go away, and they won't have to deal with you. I'd compare it to an unwanted step child. I'd steer as far away from them as possible. More
