Michael was extremely knowledgeable of the different models, not pushy in his sales pitch, and very professional. We're very tough and savvy negotiators and Michael was willing to work with us until we got the package we wanted.When we picked up the car it was in excellent condition, as we have had experiences in the past when the delivered car was dirty and we walked away from the deal. We also worked with Lily the finance manager and she was very friendly and cooperative. The manager, Ruben Arcila was also very pleasant to deal with and thanked us personnally for our business. my husband and i went to this dealership and found it was professional, warm and easy to buy from . i called some dealerships for prices on the phone. this was new to me, in the past you had to go to a bunch professional, warm and easy to buy from . i called some dealerships for prices on the phone. this was new to me, in the past you had to go to a bunch of dealerships. we did visit three. lauren gave me a nice reasonable price for a 2008 accord. when we came in the next day we were greeted with friendliness and directed to stephen who is very nice. rene came over as well and discussed things with us, he is also very nice. we did purchase the car and when we came back for it a couple of days later, stephen took the time to show me everything in the car, how to work all the controls. in the past other dealerships just said here is the manual, so i liked this as well.this was a grest experence for us, especially since we were treated so horribly at honda universe in lakewood. dch is a great choice!!!!!!!!!!! We came to DCH as a referral from my sister-in-law who recently purchased a CRV. Upon arriving mid afternoon, we received an overwhelming amount of hospitality from one of your sales persons, Khalil Qura recently purchased a CRV. Upon arriving mid afternoon, we received an overwhelming amount of hospitality from one of your sales persons, Khalil Quraishi. He offered and provided drinks to all, as well as candy & snacks to our children. Based on the EXCELLENT service we received from Khalil, we felt confident we had chosen the "right" dealership for our family, even though we live in New York. We spent several hours the first day, and several more on our second trip back with our trade-in car. It should be noted that Khalil's professionalism and hospitality far exceeded our expectations, from the moment we walked in until the moment he escorted us to our new Honda and even went that extra mile to put a good luck dollar bill in our new car. After debating about which of three possible SUV brands to buy, I decided on the Honda due to reputation and my personal needs. I drove to DCH Academy Honda in Old Bridge first and met salesperson Michael to buy, I decided on the Honda due to reputation and my personal needs. I drove to DCH Academy Honda in Old Bridge first and met salesperson Michael Serra who was friendly,genuine and took the time to talk about and show me the Honda Pilot and various models. I'm not the easiest person to sell to and I always do my homework, especially with large purchases - and of course I'm looking to get a car at a great price. Michael did not sway me toward any particular model and let me make my own decision (I'm not easily swayed anyway). After looking at some models I decided on the premium 2009 Pilot EXL with rear entertainment and moon roof. Next up was the bargaining table, I was upfront about paying cash and looking for their best price and Mike came back with a very competitive price on his first try. I then mentioned their ad in the paper for complimentary oil changes, I was told that they would honor the offer and they also offered me the option to select one of two other options, both of similar value to the oil changes. I told Mike that I would speak with my wife about the car and also decided to visit two other local Honda dealers. I stopped at the one in Freehold and they were just OK and I stopped at the one in Edison NJ. I was in and out of the Edison Honda dealership in 10 minutes as I did not like the atmosphere and the sales people were not friendly. After doing some shopping between brands (including Toyota) and dealers, I decided to return to DCH and speak to Michael and ask him further questions that he and his manager were able to answer more than satisfactory. I liked their friendly - non pushy approach and they did not bash other dealers like I'm used to hearing (I've bought many new cars). During my discussion I managed better terms and a possible trade-in. From there I spoke with Mike and office manager, Rene, and they were willing to work with me on this sale. Rene was also great, very sincere, personal, and he too went above and beyond and did not give me any “BS” which was appreciated. Both Mike and Rene made me feel good about buying Academy and made me want to buy the Pilot from them. At the end of the day I decided on the Pilot purchase at what I think is a very good price, the financial transaction went very smoothly and even the meeting with Finance manager was very cordial (he presented options and warrantees as part of the process with a "here's what we offer" approach). After the initial deposit, they were flexible about having the car ready when I wanted to pick it up (9AM) and the Pilot was prepped and had a full tank and ready for me upon my arrival. We did a "walk through" with the car and also reviewed some of its features that I was unfamiliar with. I have to say that this car buying experience at DCH Honda was probably the best ever. The sales, financial and even the receptionist made the experience very positive (see my high ratings). I expect the Honda to last many years and would not hesitate to consider a Honda from DCH in Old Bridge and would definitely recommend them without hesitation. John More

I just bought my honda civic lx from this dealership. I think lauren was just great, she quoted me the best price on the internet and gave me the breakdown out the door. I went to the dealer gave me a great rate to finance my car and I had my car out the door keys in my hands in an hour and 15 minutes. I would highly recomend this dealership and most definetly recomend dealing with Lauren over the internet she was great and a pleasure to meet. LOVE MY NEW CAR... More

We personally had more negative than positive experience with DCH Academy Honda, both in terms of sales and service. This was what happened to us. We went down to DCH and got decent service during pre-sales when we wanted to buy a car. The salesman did describe the car pretty well, allowed us a test drive, showed us the interior of the vehicle and even had the Carfax report. But we wanted to buy a car with keyless entry and the car that the salesman was selling to us didn't have that. So he promised that to install the feature for us as part of the deal. We made the deal at their dealership price (very close to the highest KBB dealership value quoted for the car). I knew that I didn't get a good price, but I didn't mind paying a premium as I had the impression that DCH Academy Honda had excellent pre and after sales service and support. This turned out to be untrue. When we went down to get the keyless entry installed, it was very inconvenient for us as they claimed that they couldn't do the installation on weekends. So we had to take time off on a weekday to go down. Moreover, they told us to leave the car with them for the whole day, so we had to get our own transport back to our office. This was still tolerable. Unfortunately, when we went down (after taking time-off), they made us wait for about an hour before they realized that they had "ordered the wrong parts"! We were upset but we tolerated that. Then they said that we could bring in the car on a Saturday (we could not do that previously but all of a sudden, now we could?!!) and they will install the keyless entry then. On Saturday, yes, you guessed it, they did it again. "Sorry, we ordered the correct parts and the box that came was correct, but the parts in the box were wrong." - that was their explanation. And we were told about this screw-up only after sitting in the waiting lounge for about 4hrs. For all these inconvenience, the sales manager said that they would "compensate" us $150 credits for maintenance services (oil change etc) and get us a rented car for a day while we leave our car with them. Is that compensation a lot? Given a choice, we would rather have a hassle-free installation and spend all those wasted time outside enjoying the summer. And we were pretty sure that we paid more than $150 extra for the car from them, expecting decent service. So that pretty much sums up our experience with DCH Academy Honda. More
