While visiting my mother I was surfing the web. I seen a 2013 Cmax for a very reasonable price, and told my daughter. I made a few calls to some friends, and was referred to Mike. I am a die hard GM man, and was having issues with my daughters Ford decision. I have to admit, I was really impressed with Mike and the Dahl Ford family. They really made us comfortable, and were very friendly. My daughter was very interested in a hybrid,and it was a toss up between the Prius, or the Cmax. After taking the car for a test drive, I was convinced that this wass the right car for her. All I can say is "wow has Ford changed". I purchased a 2006 F-150 in November and wrote a top notch review. During the test drive I mentioned it seemed a little loud in the cab. "Sounds fine to me". After driving the truck less than 50 miles toward Des Moines, the check engine light came on. Everything seemed fine, but the trip and back from Des Moines, I noticed very poor gas mileage. Took it to Dahl after the weekend and the entire catalytic converter system had to be replaced (1800.00 out of my pocket). Service guy (Manager i think) told this would improve the gas mileage. It did not. It has actually gotten worse. Well after 3 more items were discovered within the first two weeks, I have realized that even a dealer will try and unload their LEMONs on anyone else. I am sorry Dahl sold me their LEMON. I will not be recommending DAHL Ford. When going through the paperwork, the sales person put the inspection report in front of me, and told me " don't worry about that". I should have stopped there. There was no inspection done on this truck, and if there was anything done, it was masked to get it off the lot. Yes, I bought it "AS IS" and will have to pay the price for that. But, AVOID DAHL FORD Used Cars. You would think that after two phone calls of me stating I was not happy with the truck, they would not contact me about getting it serviced after 3 months. I guess they just ignore any complaints. ORIGINAL REVIEW from November 2013. XXXXXX was very professional and a pleasure to work with.
