I’m deeply disappointed and frankly alarmed by my experience at Danbury Jeep. I brought in my 2021 Grand Cherokee on June 15th for a front timing cover oil leak. Two days later, I was told the VVL se experience at Danbury Jeep. I brought in my 2021 Grand Cherokee on June 15th for a front timing cover oil leak. Two days later, I was told the VVL seals were replaced and the timing cover was resealed under warranty. But the leak was still present and there were no signs the cover had ever been removed. I contacted service manager Quinn Bannon, who, in writing, acknowledged the job wasn’t done as expected and asked me to bring it back. Against my better judgment, I gave them a second chance. Before the second drop off on July 11th, I discreetly marked several timing cover bolts to confirm the repair would actually be performed. Picked it up July 22nd, was told the cover had been resealed. But at home, it was clear only the oil residue had been cleaned. My marks were untouched, strongly indicating the repair was not performed a second time. Two documented instances like this are unacceptable. I have photos and written communication, and I’m filing formal complaints with the Connecticut DMV and appropriate consumer agencies. I expected honesty and basic competence. I got neither. More
