Dave Gill Chevrolet, located in Whitehall near Port Columbus Airport, has been proudly serving Central Ohio as a family-owned dealership since 1982. When Dave and Nancy Gill purchased Avery Pontiac that year, the dealership was among the oldest automotive dealerships in the country. Later, Dave Gill Pontiac added a GMC franchise and began selling new trucks. But the biggest change for the dealership came in March 2009, when Dave Gill purchased a Chevrolet franchise. Dave Gill Chevrolet was born. In June 2011, Dave Gill became the first dealership in Central Ohio to adopt Chevrolet's new image for its retail stores. The showroom, customer lounge area, restrooms, and service drive have been completely renovated, making Dave Gill the most modern and exciting retail space for Chevrolet customers in the region. Hi Jonathan, Thank you for providing feedback. I have to confess I was genuinely surprised to read your response to our survey. I would like to share my thoughts on what our intentions were in the case of each of your concerns, in the hopes of closing the gap between your perceptions of the transaction on the one hand and what we were trying to do for you on the other. We take very seriously the fact that you elected to work with us and become our customer. I would like to do whatever I can to prevent our relationship from ending prematurely, with you dissatisfied with your experience. On your first visit, I recall that you did not wish to test drive the Spark initially. In fact, you stated you were not even interested in seeing the vehicle until we committed to giving you the best deal possible. Once you were assured that we would, you agreed to look at the Spark and then changed your initial vehicle of interest to a better-equipped Spark. It was after the test drive that I brought you into my office to discuss the terms of the deal. I want to share with you that my intent in doing so was to create the conditions for you to feel genuinely assured that you were being treated fairly and dealing directly with the person responsible for crafting the deal. Once we agreed to terms on purchasing the Spark, you mentioned a trade that was not here. I assured you I would be fair and provide you with KBB “Good” Trade value, and that is exactly what I thought we did. I’m not sure why you perceive that you were quoted a value $2,000 under KBB book. I think that’s not accurate, and I would certainly welcome an opportunity to clear that up with you in person. For context, you shared with me that you had walked out of several dealerships because of what you described as “unfair” treatment. Mindful of those concerns, I committed myself to bend over backwards to accommodate you and make you feel as though your business was of paramount importance to us, which it is. I can’t tell you how disappointed I am that somehow our efforts fell short in that regard. With regard to your GM Rewards Loyalty points, you were in fact signed up at time of delivery. Currently, you have two vouchers in your rewards account. I can send the voucher numbers to you under separate cover (I don’t want to disclose them in a public forum), but one is worth $10, the other $100. Both vouchers expire on June 10, 2019. Would you give me the opportunity to discuss these matters with you further over the phone or in person? It’s important to me and the dealership that things are made right.
