Very rude!! I see I’m not alone here. I had a lengthy conversation with Darrell Andrews on Thursday 18th. of this month during which he found the vehicle I wanted I see I’m not alone here. I had a lengthy conversation with Darrell Andrews on Thursday 18th. of this month during which he found the vehicle I wanted, at a cost of just under $60,000. I asked about leasing (apparently not a good option) and, when we finished the discussion I was going to make a down-payment of $30,000 and he was going to arrange for a soft credit check for a loan of the remaining $30,000. That day or the following morning I received a standard e-mail message confirming that they were doing the credit check and that I would hear from them “soon”. Five days later, on Wednesday 23rd., I called and left a polite message on Darrell’ voicemail. Several hours later I called again and talked to Nellie(?) who said that Darrell was with a customer but would, Nellie assured me, call me as soon as he was free. Two hours later I called again and Amanda, the very pleasant receptionist, said she would give a message to Tom, Darrell’s boss, who, Amanda said, “is very good at getting back to people”. Three days after that I have, of course, heard from no one. This is, at best, extremely rude! As the credit check was not the problem (my credit is good) I’m guessing that they sold the unit (which, I have since discovered, is quite hard to find) to someone else. Maybe they feel that, given their bizarrely isolated location, no one is likely to drop in with a complaint and they can just ignore people who are no longer useful to them. Anyway, after further research, I have just committed to a Ford F450. Up yours, Dave Smith… More

After a couple months of looking for the perfect Jeep, a friend of my fiance recommended Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg Idaho! So we took our time to look them up and contacted via email someone who could help, I eventually got switched over to Duke Alleman, and from the beginning he was wonderful! Everything was basically handled via email, with a couple phone calls, but after trying with other dealerships, no one could get us approved, and after 2 weeks of waiting, Duke called me and congratulated us on our new 2014 Jeep Rubicon!!! I was truly amazed and shocked! All we had to do was be patient! Duke has so much knowledge of Jeeps, and even has his own, so that was another great thing of working with him! If your in the market for a Jeep, Duke is the way to go!! We waited about a month to save for the down payment, and then finally got on the road for a 16 hour road trip, in the car we brought for a trade in! (which was also handled very smoothly). We finally arrived at the dealership with warm welcomes, and Duke let us test drive our jeep, after that we got to have a seat while they checked our trade in, and that took only 10 minutes, then came back to tell us to go ahead and switch our stuff to our new Jeep! Eek! What a great feeling. We had Janet Pinyerd in the finance department and it literally took maybe 10 minutes and we were on our way back to California with our brand new jeep! Thanks Duke Alleman and Janet Pinyerd, what an amazing experience we had and we will definately be back in the future!!! More
