David McDavid is hands down the shadiest car dealership we’ve ever dealt with. We thought we had everything worked out to purchase a new vehicle in the last days of 2025, and when we returned the next day we’ve ever dealt with. We thought we had everything worked out to purchase a new vehicle in the last days of 2025, and when we returned the next day to take delivery of the car (they had to pick it up from another dealership), they straight up changed the deal, reflecting fewer rebates and discounts and a much higher purchase price with no logical explanation. In fact, they were straight up dishonest, and their explanations were clearly deceptive. Both my husband and I have excellent credit. We always do our due diligence in any financial transaction, so we scrutinized the numbers, as we are both essentially retired and live on a fixed income. They did some shady number shifting to essentially renege on the purchase price deal they’d made with us. I made sure to take screenshots of every document throughout the process, so I literally have proof that they changed the terms and upped the price of the vehicle over what they’d originally agreed to sell it for the day before, a document signed by me as well as a representative of the dealership. It was the classic bait and switch. We even withdrew money from our investment accounts for our down payment, and we now have a tax consequence for 2025, but no car to show for it. This dealership literally hurt us financially after we acted in good faith. Honda should be ashamed to have such a dishonest group of people selling their cars. My advice, seek out another dealership that does not engage in deceptive practices. More
