We just bought a Honda Accord V6 from David McDavid Honda in Irving, TX and it was truly a very satisfying experience. Andy Looney is a great asset for this dealership. He was knowledgeable, intelligent, kin in Irving, TX and it was truly a very satisfying experience. Andy Looney is a great asset for this dealership. He was knowledgeable, intelligent, kind and a very decent man (which is really rare nowadays). He was frank, straightforward and used no gimmicks. A very thoughtful man. Their director Selim Arikan was very helpful, and the finance department was happy to address our concerns and deal with our concerns. I would recommend Andy Looney and David McDavid Honda in Irving to anybody who is loking for no pressure, no gimmicks experience. More
So after many attempts to buy a new Honda and many nightmarish stories to tell I was driving back to Grapevine dejected. A Co-worker had suggested Mcdavid but I didnt realize how close to me they were nightmarish stories to tell I was driving back to Grapevine dejected. A Co-worker had suggested Mcdavid but I didnt realize how close to me they were. The dealership was a little hard to get to at first but boy am I glad I made the U-turn and went back. I was greeted at the door by a salesman who I found out later had been there for over Eight hours already. I couldnt tell as his demeanor and humor kept making the decision to buy a car a, dare I say... fun experiance. Once we had agreed on a price the sales manager Jim came out and shook my hand and thanked me for my business. That in itself left a lasting impression. The Finance Manager Darius was informative and quick. He made sure I had a clear understanding of all the paperwork I was signing. When I was ready for delivery My salesperson walked me completely through the car, although it was a little more advanced then I knew he made it very easy for me to figure out the Nav system and set up my bluetooth for me. All in all by far the best experiance I have ever had. No wonder These guys have so many people raving about them and returning over and over to buy cars. Thank You Kraig and Jim I love my pilot. The experience I had at McDavid was the best I have had in 30 years of buying cars. I got an internet quote, and when I got to the dealer, there were no “surprises” like I got from the other dealer I went in 30 years of buying cars. I got an internet quote, and when I got to the dealer, there were no “surprises” like I got from the other dealer I went to first. The internet sales director, Travis, was fast to respond to my emails and phone calls. The professionalism from the Finance person, Daraius was also unsurpassed. He was patient with all my questions, and put me at ease with the paperwork. This is my fifth Honda, but the first I bought from McDavid. I will never go anywhere else. They have a customer for life. Everyone in this dealership was very professional. They had the car we were looking for and made it a pleasurable buying experience. Past experience buying cars has been nothing less than painful, these gu had the car we were looking for and made it a pleasurable buying experience. Past experience buying cars has been nothing less than painful, these guys didn't play pricing games and the financing portion of the experience was seemless. The manager of the dealership also made a point to come ask us if we were happy with everything. He seemed very sincere and happy to have our business. I would highly recommend this dealership. More
Usual dirty dealer tactics of quoting monthly payments instead of the real drive out price. INSULTING supposed sales director. Made me laugh while driving out of the dealership. I could have EASILY gotten instead of the real drive out price. INSULTING supposed sales director. Made me laugh while driving out of the dealership. I could have EASILY gotten my car at his price but he was too insulting. I was insulted by just being at his presence. This went on and on...and he still didn't give me the price at the end. I'm not sure if he was deaf or thought I was really stupid. They should know the kind of people they are dealing with. They must be surviving based on sales traffic in the area alone. Please take your business elsewhere and avoid this dealer at all cost. More
I don't even know where to begin. This is by far the worst dealership that I have ever been to. The length of problems is endless. I just got done paying $900 for new tires because the original tires on worst dealership that I have ever been to. The length of problems is endless. I just got done paying $900 for new tires because the original tires on the car were removed and old ones were put on. So I had to replace all 4 tires. Of course the dealership denies this. One of our cars that was purchased there was a total loss and they canceled all the warranty and disability/life on the wrong car so I had to continue to pay interest on the loan for an additional 8 weeks because of the dealership's mistake. None of the finance managers know what they are doing there. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. Make sure you look over all your contracts because our Lo-Jack was never put in on our car when we signed the contracts to have it. The car was then totaled so it wasn't worth fighting after that. Just be careful because if you aren't on top of the contracts they will do something to screw you. More
I could write a book about the number of lies, manipulations, deceptions they pulled on me. They took the cash I gave them for the extended warranty and put it in my loan, when I specifically aske manipulations, deceptions they pulled on me. They took the cash I gave them for the extended warranty and put it in my loan, when I specifically asked them not too. When I cancelled the warranty they wouldn't return the money. Wouldn't talk to me or return phone calls. They lied to me when they said that no Honda Dealer would take Geico, that Geico would raise my rates if I requested a warranty claim and told me a bunch of C R A P all the way through. Don't go to David McDavid of Honda. They are very dishonest. More

He was am was not going to buy unless I was in love! Tim helped me find a most perfect car that I could not be happier in anything else at this time! He was amazingly professional and made sure I got the best deal the was to be had. Before leaving he was able to tell me things that I would never have even realized if he hadn't. I since then have brought my car back for window tinting and have doubled my happiness. I will be purchasing my future cars with David McDavid Honda! XO More
McDavid is an old school dealership that practices the bait & switch tactics from the 90's. The initial sales experience was good, with our salesman Ronnie doing a good job of accomodating our requests bait & switch tactics from the 90's. The initial sales experience was good, with our salesman Ronnie doing a good job of accomodating our requests to see multiple vehicles. Ronnie was patient and didnt push us around. After we found a couple of cars we liked, we told the salesman and and sales manager that they were all too expensive. The sales manager asked for our price, which was $2500 less (used 2007 Accord EX-L) than the sticker and $500 less than any other dealer for comparable vehicle. He matched my bid. This is going to be an easy, pleasant car buying experience, or so we thought. Then we went to see Duc Le, the Finance guy. This is where the tricks began. We had cash to pay for the vehicle by way of a pre-approved loan and blank check from our bank. This makes negotiating so much easier. When I told them about the pre-approved loan, they asked what the interest rate was. I told them 5.29%. They asked if they could try to earn our business on financing too. I said sure, as long as they could beat the interest rate. Duc initially came back with an offer of %8.03 percent. I just laughed and said No. Duc then gave us the spiel about the extended warranty programs (my Accord was past the factory bumper-to-bumper plan). The cheapest warranty was $3998! xxx? I told him I wasnt paying four grand for any warranty in the world. This is where the fun started. Duc then offered to give us the "employee discount" and lower our interest rate to 5.09% if we also purchased the warranty. Again I laughed. Then Duc lowered the warranty to $2100, almost in half! Again I laughed. Duc then lowered the warranty to $1600. I said I was interested but not sold. Duc then threw in three years of maintenance. So I signed the papers. Lessons: 1) Get your own financing arranged before you shop. This puts you in a great postion of power. Even if you decide to use the dealer financing, it makes negotiating simple. Dont talk payments. Talk final price. 2) Research research research. Look on the Internet to see how much extended warranty programs cost (especially for used vehicles). 3) Dont trust anyone. Dont trust the Finance guys, ever. Look over the final docs. You can negotiate on things like doc prep fees, etc. 4) The cost of warranties are negotiable. I felt I got the best of this dealer, and am happy with the outcome. But it did take research on my part. Also, I'm not easily pushed around. Dont let them push you into anything. If you are not 100% happy, just walk out. Really, walk out. It does wonders. More
