Service department is a bunch of clowns. My car needed a software update in order to work with the Lexus app. I scheduled an appointment at McDermott for 2 weeks out, took a vacation day, and brought my car software update in order to work with the Lexus app. I scheduled an appointment at McDermott for 2 weeks out, took a vacation day, and brought my car down at 11am. Around 3:30 I called to get an ETA, they told me it would be ready by 5. When I showed up at 5, the guy at the desk was like "Didn't anyone call to tell you it won't be ready today? We need a part." They had 2 weeks to order whatever they needed. They had opportunities before I came down, when I called for an ETA, or at really any point during the day to tell me it wouldn't be done. They offered to let me keep the loaaner for the weekend, I chose instead to collect my car and take it to a competent service department. More
