also contacted the dealer general mgr and got more lie's ,it looks like to me when you make a contract and you sign it and no place on it doe's it say about being pre-approved the dealer would honor it .but once again guess that is what you get when you deal with a second class dealer

Dear Customer, We apologize for your experience. However, we believe there is some misunderstanding. When contacted by David Stanley Chevrolet about the PRE-approval program, it does not guarantee you will be approved for a new car. The pre-approval program gives you the option to see if you are qualified through our finance team to be approved for a new vehicle. After review of your financial situation and working with banks in attempting to get you approved for a loan, it proved not to be possible. The new car managers said that they and the finance team worked vigorously for three hours on a Saturday to help you get financed, and I am sorry to say that it did not work out as we had hoped. We look to help anyone in any financial situation, but sometimes it may not go as we would like. David Stanley Chevrolet values a customer’s time in finding a vehicle; our employees strive to help you in any aspect and know the car shopping experience can be time-consuming. Therefore, if we contacted you to come in and view our vehicles, it is with the best intentions of having you drive off of the lot in a new vehicle, not to come and test drive them while leaving empty-handed. The David Stanley Chevrolet sales staff prides on their service they offer their customers. We apologize if you felt overwhelmed before entering our location; we like to make sure that every customer that enters our lot is serviced and taken care of from the very beginning. In response to your following post: when you sign a contract, there is a disclaimer on it that states if you are not approved for a loan and not able to receive financing, the contract is null and you are no longer responsible for the vehicle. It is still considered part of the pre-approval process. Ultimately, the car deal is not complete until you have received financing. David Stanley Chevrolet apologizes that we were not able to get you financing after vigorously working to do so. If somehow your financial situation changes, we would like to welcome you back to our dealership and we will try again to help you get into a new vehicle. Until then, we apologize for the misunderstanding and wish you the best of luck in your car-shopping venture.
