I am a 4x Jeep owner who has purchased/ leased from the same Pinellas County Jeep dealership for the past 20 years...until now. I hit the jack pot when I visited Dayton Andrews in the purchase of my n same Pinellas County Jeep dealership for the past 20 years...until now. I hit the jack pot when I visited Dayton Andrews in the purchase of my newest Jeep. I am taken aback by the lack of pressure, and the professionalism, and friendly shown to me by the friendly staff, especially Melissa and Chelsea. With the tour of vehicles and options clearly stated, to the purchase, to the maintenance team who prepped the Jeep to go home on a Sunday night at 7P, they won my business. I couldn't be happier with my experience. My loyalty runs deep and I will send family and friends in the direction of Dayton Andrews moving forward. More

Worst dealership and experience in my 45 years of buying new vehicles- Located in NC, I had been looking at a Grand Wagoneer Series III at this dealership back in October of 2024. It had a bench seat opt new vehicles- Located in NC, I had been looking at a Grand Wagoneer Series III at this dealership back in October of 2024. It had a bench seat option that was not widely available. We had a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited that was in great shape with no issues so I waited until that following spring of 2025 when the timing and price made sense. During the last couple of interactions with online contacts, I could feel tension that they were loosing some patience with me - insulting comments, short emails and text messages. I blew it off as I have come to understand they love customers that are in distress and will pay full price that same day. That was not me, I did it on my terms. After settling on a cash price, I noticed the internet language stated the vehicle had over 4000 miles on it. I sent an email to my internet sales contact Friday Southworth and she stated in a return email that the vehicle was brand new with 22 miles - very clear with a somewhat harsh tone that I was off base. OK, I fly to St. Petersburg airport on Saturday, April 5, 2025 and sure enough when picked up, the Grand Wagoneer had 4400 miles on it. I was taken back and told the sales associate who picked me up (Melissa Serventes) that this was not going to work and looking back I assume she was making a call to Chelsea Lane the interet director on our way to the dealership. Sure enough, Chelsea Lane meets me in the parking lot with guns blazing accusing me of knowing what the mileage was and agreeing with it all before a "welcome to dealership, we are glad to see you. Come on in and let us review this". She was horrible and over the chart unprofessional. After her venting, Melissa pointed to the paperwork of email threads to the one sent to me by Friday Southworth. Chelsea stopped talking turned from me with her tail between her legs back into the dealership without an apology or anything. I knew at this time what this dealership was based on these actions by a director no less. Long story short, Eddie Gaitan the sales manager asked what would make the deal happen as I requested a airline ticket back to NC immediately. They granted my demand on a price reduction but the drama did not end. The tone of the employees involved in this fiasco turned on me, Chelsea cornered me in the break room again accusing me that I knew the mileage and Claude Harris the finance manage dragging his feet on my paperwork for 5 hours. And to add insult to this already screwed up situation, there paint damage on the passenger rear quarter and the overall paint finish was infused with tree sap. Again, several email threads asking/being confirmed that the vehicle would be detailed prior to my arrival. Next, I contact Patty Page after 30 days at the Clearwater dealership asking about the status of my titlework (I paid cash) and she stated that the third party contactor is sometimes backed up, etc. etc. She said she would send a new tag. 15 days later no new temporary tag and finally she will find out what is going on. After a few days she contacts me and states the St. Petersburg location was sitting (perhaps to screw me over) on the sales documents. Several email and phone calls to Claude Harris were not returned. Turns out, there was no third party contractor that was involved in my title work. If I could put negative rating stars on the internet group bank of misfits and Chelsea in paticular, the finance/paperwork standoff by Claude Harris, the lack of transparency and truthfulness on the status of my title paperwork and the dealership in general I would. If you want to get screwed by a bunch of sleezy sales people, this is your dealership. This documentation of events is truthful and infact I probably let these folks off easy. It was one of the most stressful days every. They had me in a foreign environment well away from home and they used it to their advantage. My next move will be to forward this to Stellantis. More
