First of all, we would like to Thank You for your purchase. If we recall correctly, you had this vehicle inspected by a 3rd party mechanic that told you everything was perfect on this car. As with all used vehicles, we are at the mercy of the previous owner to get a second key. We fully disclosed the conditions of the car and your mechanic confirmed them. Unfortunately the previous owner did not have a second key, which we asked as a courtesy for you.

I have to disagree with you there. Saying you fully disclosed the conditions of the car is laughable, salesman Mike clearly indicated the car had 2 working keys. That's not full disclosure, what it is is "misleading" (to put it politely). The car was not only missing a key but the other one didn't work, two facts Mike conveniently failed to disclose until well after the sale.

NONE of which was disclosed to me by your mechanic, I only found out about the missing key via salesman Mike (as I've said before) well after the sale had taken place and the car had been shipped. Mike also said the key only seemed to work on the ignition but not the locks. It later did turn out to be an incorrectly installed battery, which I determined by taking the car to a local dealer. The missing key (when I do purchase it) will still require reprogramming, so no change there. You provided the car in non-working order to the shipper, whether I was later able to partially fix it is not highly relevant. Nor is the fact that the PPI mechanic (aka "my mechanic") indicated the faulty key prior to sale - because Mike quickly assured me you would fix it, which you never did. I'm considering keys to be an essential part of a car here, even if they aren't physically attached. And if one is missing, and the customer inquires whether both keys are present, the correct answer is that there is only one key. In the end, YOU (the dealership) chose to mislead me in order to make the sale. I'm sorry, but that's just dishonest to me.
