Good purchase price, poor business practices and service Bought a CPO 2016 Durango recently. It was priced well and we bought it for a good price. We got there late and they did have patience with us getting threw with the sale and everything. Following the purchase though as we were handed the keys we were told that the key fob did not work, the second one was with an employee that was on vacation, the rear weather mat was damaged, and the detailing was done poorly. We were told that we would have to come back to get the battery replaced, a better detail, and receive our second key fob. He also said that he would try to get the rear weather mat from the citadel that was on the lot if it had one. Two days later I returned, they replaced the battery, detailed the car, and told me that the second key fob was not available still. I left and went to the store and when i got back to the car I found that the key fob still did not work. I went back to the dealership to inform them and was told that they replaced the battery so I would have to come back again when service was open and they could quote me on a repair since i did not get the warranty and they already did what they stated they would do. I returned two days later and was told that the key fob was broken and would need a new one which service agreed to replace it for free. Auston then arrived and i asked him about my second key and i was told that i was pretty much out of luck with it since the other employee actually did not have it. I also asked about the weather mat and he said he looked and there was not one in the other Durango. I happened to notice that on there online listing for the durango it was pictured with the weather mat so when i mentioned that and showed him the picture he had no idea where it could be because he supposedly looked. After expressing my dissatisfaction he said he would see what he could do for the key fob. He came back and said that they would get me a new key. I asked the service guy if he could confirm that I am getting two new keys and he said yes, they we going to get me two new keys and program them for free. Great I thought. After waiting in the dealership for 6 hours I was handed my new keys and off i went. I got home and realized that I was given one new key and my original broken one. I called the service guy and he said yes they only programmed one and he was not sure why. Later Auston messaged me and asked if i got my second key and i explained how i received the new one that was already agreed to replace the broken one but then given back my old broken one. He continued to say that they gave me two keys and i would have to pay to replace the broken one since I did not get the warranty since i already got $2000 off the car. Ultimately it comes down to this, the dealership has some pretty poor business practices. For me, honesty goes a lot further than a couple hundred dollars that it would cost me to buy a rear weather mat and a key fob. It is very evident that he/ they were trying to beat around the bush and get away with not owning up to providing me with what i was supposed to receive. They were trying to justify not receiving those things with the reduced price we agreed on which makes no sense and also justifying the replacement key fob and keeping the old broken one as sufficient for receiving two key fobs, also makes no sense. I was satisfied with the price and service initially but it got worse and worse with the follow-up visits. I live 30-40 minutes away and had to go back there 3 times within a week because of this simple thing that they should have owned up to from the beginning. I honestly feel like they knew they did not have a second key fob and that one was broken from the beginning, why else would they not try to replace a couple dollar battery in the couple months they had the vehicle on the lot and when it went through their CPO inspection. Also the weather mat excuses seem pretty weak to me, who knows. I personally would not recommend them or pay for any service. More
