Disappointed, hoping the manager can help When I brought my car to Denooyer for a diagnostic to pass emissions, I mentioned that my car's Check Engine light had been on most of the 5 years I o When I brought my car to Denooyer for a diagnostic to pass emissions, I mentioned that my car's Check Engine light had been on most of the 5 years I owned it. My last mechanic who worked for a huge dealership said a short in the dashboard's electrical system was to blame. The first service rep I spoke with insisted it must be a loose gas cap without ever having looked at the car. I explained that the cap fits perfectly but he insisted I must be wrong. and continued his personal conversation with a coworker. A second service rep finally appeared to write up the paperwork. Later that Monday, Denooyer charged me over $130 for the diagnostic and said it failed emissions due to a loose gas cap. The service rep was very condescending and said the mechanic fixed it by putting it on correctly. I had to drive the car 3 days and return on Friday for an emissions test they said my car was certain to pass. I did not touch the gas cap at all that week. On Thursday, the Check Engine light came on. The service rep said my car cannot pass emissions if the light is on. So I paid over $130 for nothing. It doesn't sound as if the mechanic considered any possibility other than a gas cap malfunction. I am hoping I can at last meet the manager and he will ask a different mechanic to repeat the diagnostic. But I've never seen the manager in the many times I've been there so I am not hopeful. More

Andy was succinct when he needed to be, and gave me all the information I could ever want where I needed it. I felt a genuine flexibility, and was able to see/drive/learn about the vehicle and packages I was interested in. When a pricing issue arose with the interaction between a manufacturers special and a third-party discount, Andy bent over backwards to make things work, in a way that felt like my interests were being put on par with the dealerships (obvious and reasonable) need to sell cars. I felt like a client, not a target, an equal partner in my transaction. This was, in the best way possible, not what I was expecting for my first car purchase. More

Oil and brakes Went in to get an oil change and have the brakes checked. Tahoe has only 10 thousand miles on it since last Denooyer brake job,one year ago! They said brakes were worn and rusted from sitting around and refused to adjust price of repairs or replace parts. Hello, ten thousand miles in one year is not sitting around!! I have to wonder about the guality of the parts they use and the training of the “service” people! This is the second time I had a bad experience at this dealership! More
