I had an electrical problem with my 2021 F-150. The lights would turn on and off all night while the truck was parked. First time they replaced the battery. It did not work. Second time the truck went dead and I had it towed in to DePaula. Again they replaced the battery. I asked what they did different....they said nothing different. They did not bother to check the record of the service visit at this same dealer a few months earlier. After only 3 days, the battery died again. I had it towed again , but this time to Oliver Ford in Bennington VT. The truck has been at Oliver for over 2 weeks. They had to consult Ford Corp for advice. Today (July 7th, I picked up the truck. Initially my experience started off horrible. I dropped my truck off the day before to allow them a full day to work on the truck. They never reached out to me the following day. I ended up calling and by Mid-afternoon they still had not taken a look at the truck. I was told I would receive a call back as soon as they could get it into a bay and find out what was going on. The service representative I spoke to never called me back as he stated he would. I called again before service closed and received the voicemail of which I left a voicemail asking for a status update on my truck. The following morning I expected a phone call after someone reviewed the voicemail which I did not get. I called the same service representative again and was told a story on how they still hadn't looked at my truck and they didn't know when they would because they had two technicians that called in. (In my head I was saying: "This is not my problem. I'm your customer. You should be working on making me happy and I don't need to hear any of this. It only further aggravates the situation."). I asked why he never called me back the previous day. He didn't think he owed me a call back because the truck never made it into a bay. Therefore there was nothing to report because they hadn't looked at it. At that time I asked to speak to someone who was going to offer me solutions. I received a call shortly after from John E. From that point forward, the experience absolutely did 180° turning around. John handled everything as a professional and absolutely understands top notch customer service . He followed up on every call he said he would, he also followed up ( without being asked to) after I had the truck over the weekend to ensure that all the items had been addressed properly. I purchased the truck from DePaula and had not used them for service because it was a bit further away. After my recent experience, specifically with John, they will win all my service for the vehicle as well as a purchase of a new vehicle in my very near future. Working with John E. is worth the extra travel to receive EXCELLENT service. More
