First salesperson I spoke with was Scott. When he quoted me the OTD price, he said I was being “penalized” because I didn’t have a trade. I declined the offer. A few weeks later, I can’t remember who initiated the next contact, but I spoke with J.B. I was then speaking with Sales Manager SC, who presented me with the final OTD price. I was clear that the OTD price needed to include all taxes and registration fees paid to the State of NC, which is where I live. SC presented me with a quote of $35,925. I asked SC for his reassurance that the vehicle did not have any major scratches, rips, etc. SC had JB send me video of the car, which he then just happened to highlight a hole in the front bumper and large scratch on the rear bumper. SC said these could not be repaired but could be fixed by replacing the entire bumpers. SC said he was at his absolute lowest price and would not fix the bumpers; I would have to absorb the cost. I’m not sure how you can sell a car with damage like that, but I like the car so I reluctantly agreed to pay to have the bumpers replaced because SC said he would get me the parts and labor at cost $750.00 SC also said for that $750 he would have the body shop repair the small dent on the quarter panel on the driver’s side and they would touch up some of the paint chips around the car. I asked SC how many keys came with the vehicle. SC said the previous owner only turned in one key, but he would get me another key, which was valued at dealer cost of $260.00. When I got the final contract, the price of the car went from $35,925 to $36,922. In addition to the $750 for the bumpers, apparently someone conveniently mis-calculated the registration cost by $247. After I reluctantly agreed to pay the increased amount for the registration. So now the car I thought I was paying $35,925 just went up by approximately $1200.00. I told SC I could not pick up the car until August 14th, and he agreed to have the auto body do all the work and hold the car for me in the back lot until I could get there and pick up the vehicle. In the meantime, I competed the paperwork and sent everything back to the dealership. I flew from NC to Florida and arrived at the dealership on the 14th. I met JB and we took the car for a test drive. I noticed there was a lot of outside noise, but I just chalked it up it was a convertible and convertibles are noisy. I arrived on the 14th and paid for the second key. Later, I learned I was charged an additional $7.67 for the 3% credit card fee. Are you kidding me! I spent over $37,000 on a car and you charge me a credit card fee? Before I left the dealership, I noticed that SB never had the body shop fix the small dent or touch up the paint chips like he said he was going to. I think this was done intentionally. SC knew I was picking g up the car and needed to head back to NC and gambled that I would not have time to wait around to argue with him. I pointed this out to JB, but he all he said was “enjoy your car” as he walked into the dealership. No one offered to go over the features of the vehicle with me. I drove to where I was staying for the night and took a few pictures of the car to send to my wife who was home in NC. That’s when I noticed that the rear passenger window on the driver’s side was not extended all the way up and did not meet the driver’s window. There was a small gap between the windows and the rubber seal and that is when I realized that was the noise I heard on the test drive. I suspected that is one of the reasons why the car remained unsold since April 2026 and that was why JB said “enjoy your car” as if they were finally able to unload the vehicle without fixing it properly. It’s my fault for agreeing to buy the car sight unseen. I thought I asked all the right questions. Turns out that the dealership lied and withheld information about the window and did not fix the dent and paint chips despite their verbal promise. Just a bad overall experience. More
Absolutely terrible experience. I purchased a truck 38 days ago. I can't even legally drive this now due to my temp tags expiring 9 days ago. I've had to ask my sales manager Jerry I purchased a truck 38 days ago. I can't even legally drive this now due to my temp tags expiring 9 days ago. I've had to ask my sales manager Jerry 5 times about what is going on with registration. When he wasnt responsive I called and spoke to another sales manager. I told him my tags would be expired in a few days and I was worried I wouldn't have anything. He was supposed to call me back and I didn't hear back. Since then, I've called several times and have asked to speak to the GM. It seems the team is gate-keeping and not delivering messages. When I finally was able to get in touch with Jerry, and told him my tags were expired, and his response was, "well you could have let me know"... A serious lack of ownership here, as I told him I tried to get in touch with him and he was unresponsive. Not to mention, a week after I left this dealership, they called me trying to take away the warranty from the vehicle. I see why, as the transmission is ALREADY leaking. More
I recently leased a new Ford Bronco for my daughter from DeSoto Ford in Arcadia, Florida, and it was a very pleasant and seamless experience, which is often rare in the car industry. While we started o DeSoto Ford in Arcadia, Florida, and it was a very pleasant and seamless experience, which is often rare in the car industry. While we started off apart in terms of the numbers, after going back and forth a few times, we were able to agree on the terms. I am definitely not the easiest of customers, but Christian Diaz was patient, professional and attentive, and that tenacity is what made the transaction happen. Everyone from Christian in sales, to the financing department and management were a pleasure to work with, and I would highly recommend them if you are interested in a new vehicle. When the time comes for my son's car, Christian will be my first call. More
I came through this dealership because I thought it was better than the others to find out, they sold me a vehicle I get it. I bought it used, but it past their safety test. My wife and children are in thi better than the others to find out, they sold me a vehicle I get it. I bought it used, but it past their safety test. My wife and children are in this vehicle. It was sold to me with bad brakes, I had to change myself. They probably would’ve charged my wife if I didn’t know what I was doing a bad battery and alternator that I paid $1700 for I’ve only had it for five months I can go on and on, but I am very if I had the money I would get a lawyer and I still have issues with it. I asked if we can address another issue and they told me to wait. Do not purchase a vehicle from these people. They even put a safety inspection sticker on the vehicle stating brakes were in the green. when they were in the red. More

In October, I refinanced my auto loan and obtained a new GAP insurance policy, which required canceling the original GAP insurance. I mailed all required cancellation documents to DESOTO Ford. When I first called, Luke, the Finance Manager, confirmed that the GAP insurance would be canceled and that I would receive a partial refund by check. However, despite sending the paperwork a long time ago, the check has still not been mailed to the address I provided. Every day the GAP insurance remains active, I am losing money from the refund amount. In addition, I have been calling the office weekly to follow up. Each time, I am told that Luke is on the phone and that he will call me back, but I have never received a return call and have been unable to reach him directly. While the vehicle purchase process was smooth, the lack of follow-up, poor communication, and unresolved finance issues after the sale have been extremely disappointing. This situation should have been handled much more promptly and professionally. More
