I had to take my car to the service shop three times for the same brake problem. The initial problem began a month after buying the car and while under warranty. I’ve had to take it to the service shop an average of once a month since buying the car. Service replaced my calipers twice and it was covered under warranty. On the third visit I was told it was warped rotors causing the problem all along, but the rotors would not be covered because the rotors were fine when they did the inspection before selling it to me. I was told the rotors wore down faster “because they were after market rotors.” If the rotors were the issue all along, they should not warped or worn down within a month of purchasing. My tech advisor claimed nothing could be done about the bill as he already spoke to the service manager about it. He did suggest I talk to the sale associate I bought it from or the sales manager. I did. The sale associate looked into the matter and had the bill taken care of (and I’m thankful). Then the service tech took credit for the sale associate’s work. The service department’s communication is sorely lacking and the repairs jobs are sloppy. More
