It had been several years since my last VERY unsatisfactory experience at Destination Kia in February several years ago - an oil change that leaked and a definitely inept tech who told me to cal unsatisfactory experience at Destination Kia in February several years ago - an oil change that leaked and a definitely inept tech who told me to calm down after my vacation was ruined because of that leaking oil change while my Kia was in the Albany Airport during my time away. I made several attempts to let the dealership know and especially when they queried how my experience had been but no one really cared because they never responded to my story. After that experience, I only returned for the necessary recalls when I received notices. However, I am glad I gave Destination another chance when I was forced to go to a Kia dealer for some hard-to-locate strutz for my 2011 Optima and was even provided a rental car for my appointments that day by Gerard Hamedy who was great and I felt it mattered how I felt about the service. The parts were hard to locate but he did so I am still so much in love with my like-new 2011 Kia Optima thanks to him (bought it new). However, the woman who answers and directs calls, Alisa or something like that, needs to be trained in people skills at the very least and is not a good representation of Destination Kia on the telephone and seems a dingbat. I say this from 2 experiences I had on the telephone with her and one being very important since it concerned my disabled brother who had also taken his car there for an expensive service and my inquiries to her about his arriving safely home afterwards compliments of Destination Kia and her failure to ease my concern for him. I listed price as only half the best stars because who wants to pay $1800 for strutz but I do understand in these Covid times and am so thankful thanks to Gerard I will most likely enjoy many more miles on my 2011 Optima. More
Very expensive compared to local shops. Communication is good, but I was able to get a service done for half the cost elsewhere. An alignment was recommended for brakes and rotors whereas that isn’t a neces good, but I was able to get a service done for half the cost elsewhere. Last year they said my sway bar link was needing replacement, never had the work done and have been back twice and no mention of sway bar links... upselling is part of an inspection because they lose money on a clean inspection, or in my case where I only needed a lightbulb. More
Mike in Service was phenomenal from start to finish. Very attentive to our situation when our vehicle had an issue with only 500 miles on it.
