Elliot West, Salesman = Excellent Car Buying Experience I'm a researcher, I want to get the biggest bang for my buck. My trucks were getting some age on them, time to update. Honestly, I'm a die hard Chevy I'm a researcher, I want to get the biggest bang for my buck. My trucks were getting some age on them, time to update. Honestly, I'm a die hard Chevy guy; but GM's recent moves had left a bad taste in my mouth. Back in 1990 I had purchased a Honda Accord Coupe...it was an excellent car...zero troubles. Long story short, after much research I decided to come back to Honda. Honda...the brand, you can't go wrong. Between Honda and their competitor that starts with a "T" (which I won't name, since I'm officially a Honda guy now), it's hard to match them on dependability. So why Dick Brook's Honda? ....and specifically, salesman Elliot West? Dick Brook's offers a Lifetime Power Train Warranty on every new car purchase. Not to mention, Dick Brooks was a NASCAR legend who lived in Woodruff, SC...I thought it was cool. What sets Elliot West apart? I contacted a couple of other salesmen, at other dealerships. I gave them specifics of exactly what I wanted, and specifically expressed to them how I wanted to be contacted, and the specific information I wanted from them. They took it upon themselves to call me at hours I specifically told them not to (my wife and I work night shift, sleep is a premium, non-emergency phone calls is not good). In addition, getting a bottom line OTD price was like pulling teeth..."Oh, we won't lose your business, we'll beat other offers" etc. So I contacted Dick Brook's, got hooked up with Elliot West. We emailed each other throughout the day, nailed down a OTD price, and made the purchase the following day. At no point did he pressure me for my phone number, at no point did he "hee-haw" around about giving me the specific information I wanted. (Now for the Dealership)...car buyers know (are should know), the finance guy is the real salesman to be aware of. Honestly, I was a little concerned about my OTD price...I'm always on guard for getting screwed at the end. So I sat with Bob (Finance guy), he printed up everything, we signed everything, gave him my check, then out the door.....no high pressured sales pitch to get (but I had my check already made out...so he probably knew I wasn't interested in extras...lol). Very long story short, one of the smoothest car buying experiences I've ever had. I'm an old fashion values kinda guy...you do me right, and I'll continue doing business.
