We went in to Dick Hannah Kia after looking at a couple of other local dealerships. After looking at the Kia Optima on-line and seeing a new one in a parking lot the same day, we decided to take a better of other local dealerships. After looking at the Kia Optima on-line and seeing a new one in a parking lot the same day, we decided to take a better look at them. We went on a rainy Sunday and Dave showed us the Optima. We had two vehicles we wanted to trade in. They worked wonders to get us financed, payments where we liked them, and both trade-ins paid off. Love my car!!! I went in to purchase a vehicle at Dick Hannah Kia. I wasn't sure as to what I wanted to get, but I knew I was ready to have an upgrade from my 2003 Chevrolet Impala. I worked with Curt Torson. From the time I met him to the time I left, he provided superb customer service. Curt answered all my questions and even took the time to show me all the cool things that my new car, 2011 Kia Sportage, had to offer even after the sale was complete. I had a question the next day, and Curt was there for me to answer all my questions again! I really felt that he cared about me and he felt it was important to educate me about my vehicle. I will recommend Dick Hannah Kia and to ask for Curt Torson to anyone. Thank you again Curt for the outstanding customer service you provided and thank you for providing a safe and fun car for my family and I. I will see you again. Best price around with no pressure to close the deal on the same day (I HATE it when I get the "You have to buy this car today or I can't guarantee the price tomorrow - trust me - I have gotten that statem the same day (I HATE it when I get the "You have to buy this car today or I can't guarantee the price tomorrow - trust me - I have gotten that statement from other places.... WE WENT TO DICK HANNAH KIA ON 9/23/2011. WHEN WE GOT THERE WE WERE WELCOMED BY SALESMAN MIKE MENZIE. HE BEGAN TO HELP US FIND A VEHICLE THAT WOULD SUPPORT OUR GROWING FAMILY. I worked with Brian for over two weeks on buying my new Sedona, at first we were gonna trade in my wifes car [2011 sorrebto] but she didn't want a mini van. As time went buy and I kept filling up my Dodge diesel at $130 a fill up I figured that I would trade in my truck. The problem is that my job doesnt give me any real free time and I decieded to do the deal on my way to Seattle. Unlike alot of other dealers they thought outside the box and did the deal by phone so when I got back to town a week later the car was fueled up and ready to go just as they promised. I would highly recomened Brian and Dick Hannah kia for your next new or used car purchase. More
When I came in in July, I was looking for a car to replace my current vehicle that had become a dud. I was anxious about the process at first due to not knowing exactly what I was looking for, it was replace my current vehicle that had become a dud. I was anxious about the process at first due to not knowing exactly what I was looking for, it was my first time purchasing a car, and having heard god-awful things about dealerships and car salesmen. And I'll admit that when I first stepped on the lot I was very defensive and staunch on making sure that I wasn't taken advantage of. However, as I started talking to a salesman by the name of Barry, I realized how pragmatic and straight-forward he was. He was no-nonsense, and I liked that since I absolutely detest a hard sale. I told him that price, particularly monthly payment, was my main concern and from there on he showed me cars that were within my price range and was very clear about the limitations that my preferred monthly payment, $150 a month, would place on my selection. He was also honest about the fact that I shouldn't be looking at $15,000 cars if I wasn't going to budge on the monthly payment. He showed me a 2008 Hyundai Accent that was at an incredibly low price, $8,900, but had a manual transmission. When I stated that I didn't know how to drive a manual, he told me to not worry and that he could teach me how to drive it. Over the next several days, I continued looking on competitor websites to do some price/value comparisons. I was surprised to find that most of the competition had cars that were comparably of less value, at a higher cost. I also visited the dealership again, where Barry spent about an hour teaching me how to drive a manual. However, I still wanted to make sure that the Hyundai was in fact the best car out there for me, and continued looking. While perusing the Dick Hannah website, I found a 2010 Chevy Cobalt for only $11,000. I was curious, and went back down to the dealership. Barry wasn't at the dealership being that it was his day off, but I was greeted by a salesman by the name of Luis. He was really fun to work with, and his laid-back attitude really helped me to ease my anxiety. To be honest, both Luis and Barry were really laid-back about the whole process, which was really helpful for me. After driving the Cobalt and getting a feel for the car, I was conflicted about my choice. Both the Hyundai and the Chevy Cobalt were great cars for their price, both suited different needs for what I was looking for, and the $2,000 difference in price, and the impact that would make on the monthly payment really made the decision difficult. Luis was very patient, spending several hours really pouring over the details, and playing out the pros and cons to both purchases. He also gave detailed pricing estimates so I could see a month-to-month comparison. I pondered the choices, and the next morning came to a decision. I called Luis and I told him, "I want the Cobalt but I want it for $150 dollars a month and I want my trade-in accepted at $500 dollars. Otherwise, I am going with the Hyundai Accent." The problem in that was that I am only 22, so my credit, though good, was still quite premature. But, with my $1,500 down payment, a co-signer, my trade-in, and the hours that Dick Hannah's financial department spent scouring for the lowest interest and best loan the banks would offer me, I finally got the call back from Luis saying that I got the loan I wanted. I went back to the dealership that day, signed all the papers, paid the down payment, and left my lemon behind. Even then, when they knew I was already going to sign and purchase, they were still really friendly, laid-back, and clear about the warranties, fine print, and the Customer for Life program. In the end, I came out of that experience pleased with my purchase, and still am, and my opinion of car salesmen and the process of purchasing a vehicle greatly changed for the better. I would definitely recommend Dick Hannah Kia Dealership of Vancouver,WA to anyone searching for a vehicle, and am greatly impressed by the effort they spent finding me exactly what I wanted, for how much I wanted, all the while allowing me the space and time to think for myself.
