My retirement dream was to have a little camper van to explore our entire country. I had my heart set on a RAM Promaster 1500 Cargo Van 136 WB, and I’d been checking out used ones for months. The process was very, very frustrating because they’re in such high demand—and all the lower priced vans had high mileage and/or had been in accidents. Finally, I realized I might have to get a new one to maximize reliability, safety, and longevity. It was really a miracle that I happened to go to the Dick Hannah Ram Trucks dealership in Vancouver and be greeted by Roxanne Parisien just to test drive a new Promaster. I was very nervous about the whole process and didn’t expect or intend to buy anything. However, Roxanne’s warm, bubbly, frank, and honest demeanor was a complete surprise; she’s the absolute opposite of a “pushy salesman.” The test drive was an eye-opener, and was nothing like the test drives I’d done on lots of used vans. Driving a new Promaster was smooth and easy. It felt great to be up so much higher than my bare-bones old Honda Fit, and I felt infinitely safer than I’d ever felt in any vehicle I’d ever driven. Some of the fancy things were intimidating to me at first, but Roxanne patiently explained how the navigation panel and Mapquest worked; she showed me the incredible safety feature on the side windows that alerts you immediately if there’s anyone in your blind spot on either side; and she helped me understand a bunch of other features. I really didn’t think I could afford a new van. Roxanne literally spent hours and hours with me as we waited for the bank to decide if they were going to meet my needs. I kept telling her she could go work on other things, but she adamantly refused, saying that she never worked that way. Roxanne asked me about my dreams, hopes, and future plans without being intrusive. Still, the waiting was nerve-wracking for me. Through it all, though, Roxanne was the ultimate mom/sister/friend: compassionate, intuitive, helpful, informative, and above all, authentic. In the end, with Roxanne’s one-on-one, personalized, “go the extra mile” help, my dream came true. I traded in my old car and drove home with my brand-new 2021 Promaster. I’ve named my van “Roxy” to honor the quintessential salesperson and individual that Roxanne Parisien is, and because my new van ROCKS! More

After calling Dick Hannah Ram and telling them I wanted to buy a specific truck, I was informed the truck in question is not on their lot yet. The sales person told me that I would have to put a $1,000 NON to buy a specific truck, I was informed the truck in question is not on their lot yet. The sales person told me that I would have to put a $1,000 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit down just to see the truck in person. The alternative he shared was, "you could buy it now." I shared that I was uncomfortable spending $70,000+ on something I have not seen or driven so he could sell to anyone that beats me to the truck. I quickly realized this person did not care or listen to me and tried to sell me other vehicles. I had to block the sales person because he kept sending me window stickers for vehicles that did not meet my needs. And for the record, I only had three things on my list: Diesel Engine, Bench Leather Seats and the Safety Group Package. Fast forward to the next day - I was still interested in the truck and figured I could speak with a sales manager. I filled out the qualifying loan forms and was approved through their website. I received an email that someone would reach out to me, nobody did and so I called the dealership. After asking what else they needed from me, the person I spoke with shared that someone would call me, at this point I shared that I did not want to work with the sales person I previously spoke with. I have purchased 3 Ram trucks in my life from three dealerships across Oregon, California and Washington. My father worked with Dodge/Ram and I love these trucks and the brand. I finally did receive a call from the Sales Floor Manager, but he was not interested in selling me the specific truck even though I had been pre-approved. It is my opinion that they have already promised this vehicle to someone else and this dealer is unable to be honest with their sales policies. There are a lot of great trucks out there and this is not the only option. There are multiple websites and apps to help you save money. More
