In service department, I have always been treated well, as has my car. Everyone is always helpful and mindful that I am interested in having the things that need to be done, done at the time rather than my as has my car. Everyone is always helpful and mindful that I am interested in having the things that need to be done, done at the time rather than my having to come back in just a few weeks for some other aspect of service. This time I forgot to ask for a firmware update... And it wasn't suggested.... But it's hard to say if one was even available at the time. I am a bit skeptical since my purchase of the car which I now have; with respect to some of the practices of how buyers are treated. I had, previously, bought a new Base Impreza for my 65th birthday, in 2018. At that time, I was very impressed with both the buying process, and the car. In 2022 I needed an upgrade of the same car, and my 2018 Impreza only had 12,000 miles on it (just under 4 yrs old.) All my services were at This location so there was no reason to think I hadn't had them all done- and certainly easy enough to check. The car was pristine: no scrapes, no accidents, nothing, A fair amount was added to the MSRP of one I was buying, and though that seemed less than ethical, I assumed I'd get a compensatory amount for the trade, especially as this was at a time when used cars were at a premium. However, I was given a disappointedly low amount for the trade in. I now realize it is likely because the dealership has it on record what I actually paid for it, whereas had I purchased it elsewhere, that might not have been the case. I have this knowledge because I am often sent sales incentives to purchase a new car, based on an incorrect (and far lower) price that what I paid for the current car which I bought from this dealership. Furthermore, the new car was registered in both my name and that of a second driver. Between us we paid a tad over the allowance for a cash contribution before it is reported. That was fine, except it was ALL reported in one person's name, which was, both inaccurate and untrue. Had it been divided, as it should have been, no reporting would have been necessary. Lastly, the new car was not delivered to me until 4 days after the agreement for purchase was made and yet the sale date was counted on the day I was in the show room, not one the day I took delivery of the car (the car was at the docks at the Port of Portland and, therefore, could not BE delivered to me, so I didn't OWN it until the day I took delivery of it. -- This is only a problem inasmuch as I paid for a ten year warranty, and the number of days that equal that ten years could very well make a huge difference if I have a coverable expense within those four days. This is more likely as I will reach the ten year mark long before the milage mark as I do not put that many miles on a car. -- I just feel the dealership should pay very close attention to the details of such transactions. Although, satisfaction, very often, hinges on the relational aspect of a sale, and I can't fault that particular aspect. However, the details of the failures, have remained with me, even almost 4 years later. Therefore I assume that these types of things can matter to many, and even if not, they should be impeccably attended to. Nevertheless, it still was a more enjoyable experience than most of my car buying experiences -- though they all seem to be so very long that we all wear out! I hope to keep this car a long time, in part, because I really love it, and in part, because, any car I could get now, would not have the wider front doors (the coupe style) -- which is an unfortunate design flaw for those who need more opening space to exit and enter the vehicle.... Nevertheless :) the bottom line is, I DO love the service, and I really enjoy my car with all its "blind spots" and helpful this'es and thats! Oh, and that thing where, from my phone I can warm it up from a short distance away (yay satellite) - and how it knows to lock it down so no one can drive it way. I am a Subaru fan, so I guess I can't have everything perfect, LOL More

Mike showed us our car, and answered our questions regarding newer features. He then introduced us to Andrew who explained his role was to ensure we were comfortable with all the features in our car and set up an appointment a few weeks out for handle follow up question. This is outstanding customer service. In a few months we'll see if the service department can match the sales department in providing a great experience. More
