Have your financing pre-approved before you walk in, focus on the total vehicle price instead of the monthly payment, and understand your trade value. If they lower your trade offer, make sure that difference gets offset somewhere else in the deal. I also recommend reviewing all numbers in writing before allowing a credit application, test-driving the vehicle before finalizing anything, and carefully reviewing the F&I paperwork so you only pay for products you actually want. I had an oil change done at Dick Hannah in Longview, Wa. When it was time to change it again, I decided to do it myself. There is a plate that has to be removed to get to the drain plug and filter. I called the service dept. and was told there was nothing they could do, but I could buy a new one for $90. More
