We had a wonderful experience with Clay Wessell as our salesperson. We came in looking for a new but reasonable sportscar and Clay showed us different options with different cars. We couldn't resist the n salesperson. We came in looking for a new but reasonable sportscar and Clay showed us different options with different cars. We couldn't resist the new black Camaro in the lot and Clay handled everything with professionalism and in a timely matter. We have since used Clay for a used car purchase for our daughter and have recommended that our friends and family go see him also before making any final decisions elsewhere! He is very knowledgable and does not get frustrated with novice buyers like my daughter. He spent much time with her and all of her questions and concerns. More

They helped me decide just what model and options would suit my needs and did not "push" - they were encouraging and I actually had fun buying this car. It has been a long term dream and working with Diver was great. The "owner", Rich Diver, got involved with me, as well, and spent time with me and really helped me through the process. Matt was patient and helpful all the way. Really happy with my purchase and I highly recommend the Diver team for anyone looking for a car.. More

When we went to Brandwine Chrysler, the finacial guy was a jerk, but at Diver it was fast and easy. Everyone was pleasant to deal with. As long as I need a car/suv I will always go back to Diver and will tell everyone to go see Matt at Diver. Thanks Matt. More
I've had nothing but headaches with this used car dealership from day one when I stepped onto their lot. They are very eager to sell you a car, but if you want them to keep their word you'd better ei dealership from day one when I stepped onto their lot. They are very eager to sell you a car, but if you want them to keep their word you'd better either bring a lawyer with you... or get *everything* they say in writing. After we had "agreed" on an out-the-door price for the car I was looking at, the next day when we did the sale they had tacked on an extra $200. Nobody there has any recollection of the agreement we made (like I said, get it in writing), and they claim they can't go any lower than the new price. (Why'd they OK the price from before?) Anyway, I caved to the headache and we agreed to split the difference. Since I don't live in the same state as the dealership, again they "agreed" to mail me the title, registration, etc. in a few weeks for a fee, while I drive around with temporary tags. More than a month later I still haven't received it, and when I called them they *again* have no record of it. At this point in time I'm waiting for the documentation to get here; hopefully in a timely fashion... While they act very friendly, agreeable, and eventually apologetic, they do not keep their word. My advice to anyone looking into buying from these guys is to not settle for "verbal" agreements - write everything down and have your salesman sign and date it; otherwise, you'll have a similar experience. On March 5th, 2010 I responded to an internet ad for a Certified GM used car being sold by Diver Chevrolet in Wilmington, DE. So I went to the dealership, saw the car, and agreed to pay their asking price Certified GM used car being sold by Diver Chevrolet in Wilmington, DE. So I went to the dealership, saw the car, and agreed to pay their asking price if a major steering problem was fixed (steering was making a loud popping/grinding noise). The salesman agreed to fix it before delivery; however, the used car sales manager had another idea. He wanted me to buy the car "before" fixing it and then come back in a few weeks and he would fix it for free. Now, there was something wrong with this picture. First, the car was being sold as a GM Certified Used Car and something was dramatically wrong with the steering? GM's 117 point check includes a check of the steering for "noise" so how did this car get by that inspection? Well, I finally figured it all out! This dealership was going to use the GM Certification Program to fix the car "after" I bought it (knowing that the car did not qualify as a GM Certified used car). In my opinion, this is outright FRAUD and I have reported it as such to the GM Certification Program and they are investigating this dealership as we speak. THe real icing on the cake was when they tried to "pressure me" into participating in this fraud, and after "refusing to participate", the used car sales manager "cursed my wife and I out" as we walked out of the dealership. In fact, he was cursing so loud, we could hear him all the way to our car! In closing, I can only say that I hope they are on the GM Dealership List for closure because they do not deserve to be a Certified GM Dealer! More
