From Buyer's Remorse to "Can't Wait to Go Camping!!" Thank you Dodd RV, of Yorktown, VA, for taking such good care of us. We bought a brand new Coachmen Leprechaun from another dealer, who it turns out Thank you Dodd RV, of Yorktown, VA, for taking such good care of us. We bought a brand new Coachmen Leprechaun from another dealer, who it turns out was not actually a Coachmen dealer, and we unfortunately received subpar service - no PDI, no customer inspection before possession, etc. But with numerous problems in the RV from the start, we called up Coachmen Corporate, who instructed us to take it to Dodd RV. We took the RV to Yorktown on Thursday after work, on Friday they went over it with a fine tooth comb for a proper PDI, and on Saturday we received a proper walk-through to explain how to work everything and take good care of our new RV. We were treated just as if we had bought the unit from them in the first place! Everyone from Michael McNeil, the GM, Melissa Grace, the Service Manager, Richard Winer, who did a very thorough walk-though with us and had a lot of helpful suggestions to make our first camping trip even more enjoyable (like putting insect screens on the vents as we will be Boondocking in a field). Rob Eller in the Parts department made sure we had the necessities for our first camping trip, even going as far as checking the screens we planned to buy to make sure we had the right ones. Also met with Arnold Smith and Sara Clevinger in the business office. Dodd RV made sure that we met everyone in person that we might need to interact with in the future and made sure we felt welcomed there. And yes, as far as I can see, they fixed every issue we found and some we hadn't! The ladder for the bunk can now be put in place by one person (before it took 3 of us to wrestle it into place), the broken drawer latches are all replaced, the hanger bar in the closet is now funtional, slide gaskets are glued back into place, and they even realized that the sink was missing the drain stop so put one in for me. All I can say is thank you thank you thank you Dodd RV. We have gone from "buyer's remorse" to "Can't wait to go camping". Forest River/Coachmen is well represented with this company, and even though I will pass 5 other RV dealers to get to them, I feel it is the best dealership in Hampton Roads to take care of my RV. More
