went to Don K Chevrolet in whitefish on Saturday 4/4/26. I was looking to purchase a new or used vehicle. I wanted an SUV with Leather Heated Seats, Auto Lift gate and I needed a warrantee. I mentioned that I was looking to purchase a new or used vehicle. I wanted an SUV with Leather Heated Seats, Auto Lift gate and I needed a warrantee. I mentioned that I had a lot of items at home that I would need to tow. I drove a few different vehicles and settled on the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox premiere. I had a firm price range that I had to be in. I needed to be out the door for less than $30,000. I was very clear that I did not want a Subaru and I did not want to finance anything. When we went inside, they started talking about the warrantee. That was pushing me way out of my pricing that I could afford. I was very clear that I could not pay over $30,000. Then Blake, the sales manager, came up and asked if I could take a 3-year bumper to bumper warrantee instead of a 5-year bumper to bumper. He mentioned that it could save me some money. I asked if that could get me in the price range that I needed to be in. Then Blake came up with a paper that showed the Balance due of $29,413.33. I was thinking that it was out the door. I said thank you so much for getting me out the door for under $30,000. He said that he needed to get a deposit and then we will be done. I said that I would need to go to my house to get some cash. Then they gave me to the finance guy. The finance guy said that he wanted me to sign the contract before I left just in case, they got busy. Like an idiot I signed the paper and then headed out to my house to get another check and some cash. the amount that they said I would need to come back with just didn't make sense. So, I looked over the paper, and I noticed that they charged me more than I thought it was going to be. So, I got to the house, and I called them and I said Hey this vehicle was much more than I thought it was going to be. they said That I signed a contract and I was obligated to get the vehicle. I said I don’t want it for that price. I had not taken possession of the vehicle yet at this point, but they said that I have to take it because I signed for it. I mentioned that I wanted to unwind the deal. I was extremely irritated, but I just didn’t know what to do. According to them I had to pay the balance and take possession of the vehicle because I signed a contract. It was extremely irritating. I was very surprised that they would not work with me. They were closed on Sunday, so I called them 1sst thing Monday morning. I mentioned the price was an issue and by that time I noticed that the vehicle only towed 1500 lb. U needed a vehicle that would tow more than that. As I mentioned on Saturday, I have a lot of items that need tow. They mentioned that I signed the contract. Then I said I thought you had a 72 hour worry free guarantee. At that point Blake said that f I come back down before they close at 6pm he will swap this vehicle out for another one. So, I head down to Don K Chevrolet on Monday 4/6/26 before they close. Blake was not there I spoke with Travis Squires. At 1st he said they only have Subarus. IU mentioned that I cannot accept Subaru. I do not like the brand. He said that was all they had to show. So luckily, I had a couple of vehicles to ask about. I mentioned the Ford Edge Serl that they had on the lot. He took me out to look at that. He showed me the outside of the vehicle, and he said that it was not detailed yet and he did not have the key He said that he would extend my coming back so that I could test drive that one the next day. Then on Tuesday I contacted the dealership and they did not have that vehicle detailed yet either. I contacted them on Wednesday then again on Thursday and now again today on Friday 4/10/26. I’m not sure what is happening now. They have not contacted me back. I just really wanted to unwind the deal. Swapping vehicles out was a last resort and now they are not even willing to do that. At least they are not returning calls or messages. I feel extremely upset that they would treat me this way. I cannot recomme More

Do NOT buy from this dealership. Can I give them zero stars? We ordered a truck from them in June. We waited for the 2022 pricing so we would KNOW the price when ordered. We signed a contract with the dealer and the truck was ordered 6/30/21. Today we go to pick it the new truck and they tell us we must pay $1600 MORE for it than originally agreed. They would not budge on that or even throw in a free oil change. They said the price increased since we ordered it and we have to eat ALL of it. The contract means nothing. We had a "not great" experience with this dealer before, but this tops the cake. We will NEVER visit this dealership again and I truly hope people read this review and avoid the heartache and frustration we experienced today. I really liked our salesman, Chad, but sadly I will never get to work with him because of the decisions made by Eric in finance on behalf of the dealership. More
As a another business owner, I am severely disappointed in Don K Dealership’s delayed and lack of response to customer service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Don K. Dan Galvin, the salesman, mentioned that the truc in Don K Dealership’s delayed and lack of response to customer service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Don K. Dan Galvin, the salesman, mentioned that the truck we bought was “thoroughly mechanically inspected”, and “I ensure you it is in excellent condition”, “Don K only sells high quality vehicles”, and finally “if it pulls it is most likely the road as the road has large ruts”. Over the years we have bought 3 other trucks from Don K and have had numerous trucks serviced – oil changes to full transmission replacements, with no grievances. The truck we bought pulled to the right and had a shimmy at interstate speed(75 mph) - not identified in short test drive. To correct our trucks current problem he said it may “just be tire balance and wheel alignment it is no big deal.” I understand it is a used truck and mechanical issues can come with that territory, but I didn’t ask for it to be fully covered. To not even indicate a gesture of “good will” to make a satisfied customer as I just spent $48K, and are looking at spending $30K on a Subaru. Due to the history of relationship I had trusted Don K as a good dealership, and this past experience I cannot recommend Don K. I ended up taking the truck to Les Schwab for a wheel alignment and balance. We then went on a trip and ended up stranded in Bellingham as the power steering failed on the truck. Costing us $2000.00. More

I have a Jeep Wrangler which I love and no regrets EXCEPT for the experiences I have had with the Service and Parts department. Recently I ordered a soft top - the parts department ordered a 4-door instead for the experiences I have had with the Service and Parts department. Recently I ordered a soft top - the parts department ordered a 4-door instead of a 2-door - I had various conversations to say it was the wrong part and that I had a 2-door - they assured they had it right - of course when I came to pick it up it was for a 4-Door 4. No apology or attempt to acknowledge their mistake. Getting in for any service is impossible and very expensive unless under warranty. Express Service is anything but express. I don’t believe anyone actually listens to the feedback and that is frustrating. Sometimes a simple acknowledgment goes a very long way. So I am left writing a review - may be it help encourage someone at Don K to listen - I imagine at times the job is hard and yet I see all the other horrible reviews and think they simple don’t care about customer service - maybe they don’t have too. There is not another Jeep service center within 50 miles – still this saddens me. More
Disappointed! Questionable service!! I've bought, and leased, numerous vehicles at DonK. Previously, I've had minimal issues with the service. However, my most recent visit was very disappointing! I took my 2019 Chevy pickup in for an oil change and a check of the steering. I didn't receive a call that the truck was ready, but fortunately, I called and was told it was ready. I told the service writer I had a coupon for the $58.95 oil change, but when I went to pick up the truck I was charged $86.31!! And the coupon wasn't honored! To add insult to injury, the truck wasn't cleaned! The dealership says that your vehicle is "sanitized' due to Covid-19! NO SIGN of any cleaning and my truck had been left out on the lot with the driver's window all the way down!! When I asked the service department cashier for a receipt from my card, he said, the price is there on the invoice!! As though I had asked for too much! If it wasn't for the warranty, I'd be getting service elsewhere going forward!! More
Duped me with "no car damage" I bought a 2010 dodge 1500 from Don K. They gave me the carfax report and it showed no damage, nor was any damage mentioned. About a year later I take I bought a 2010 dodge 1500 from Don K. They gave me the carfax report and it showed no damage, nor was any damage mentioned. About a year later I take it to another dealer just to see what trade in would be and they brought me out a carfax dated back to before I bought it showing Don K reported and fixed damage on the truck. So basically they reported and fixed damage to the truck, sold it to me without telling me and In doing so i overpaid for it. More
