This Saturday I picked my vehicle up. I was told and assured before I arrived that all repairs were done and that the truck was 100% restored to its original pre-accident condition. This was yet again another lie. When I arrived, the circular mirror that is attached to my driver side mirror had fallen off. Don McGill's repair was to throw it into the cup holder. I had to actually demand they fix it for them to spend the neccesary 5 minutes to re attach it. There is a foot long scratch on the rear bumper they just replaced! The car smells of gas and burnt oil/rubber now. The check engine light sporadically comes on (I guess the body shop doesn't check for engine issues) and the truck misfires. My bed extender (which costs 300 dollars to replace) is warped and will not engage the lock on the left side. This was simply left undone. I can also STILL remove the bumper from the brackets with just my pinky. While it does not come completely off, it is sad that this was still passed as "quality" repairs. Lastly, I handed my vehicle over to Don McGill with a half tank of gas. My vehicle was bone dry when I got it back. I barely made it the few blocks down the road to a gas station before the truck started to sputter. I've now contacted my attorney. I do not want to take my vehicle back to Don McGill, I would not suggest anyone else do so either. It is sad that a body shop would miss so many blatant things.

After weeks of back and forth, this is finally done! Don McGill honored their part of the deal and finally paid for the rental car during this debacle. I was able to take my vehicle to another body shop which attached my front bumper properly, (It no longer moves. You'd have to apply some serious pressure and remove a clip to unmount it.) Cleaned and polished the compound mess on the back bumper, and replaced the twisted bed extender. While My vehicle was finally repaired elsewhere I am glad to be done with Don McGill. My final assesment of this. Proceed with Caution. If you do not want to take your vehicle here, don't. If they give you the run around, call your insurance rep and have the vehicle taken elsewhere. Trust is crucial when it comes to repairing your vehicle. While I do not doubt they've done good work on other vehicles, that just wasn't the case with me.
