Mr. Stroh, I am sorry that your experience did not go as either one of us would have liked. Mike has received outstanding ratings from his customers, so I looked into this visit as much as possible on this end. I left you a message to discuss what occurred from your perspective but did not hear back from you. I looked at the pictures of the car that you came to see, and it looked great when it emerged from detail. How it became dirty by the time you arrived is unknown, but, regardless, it would have been prudent of Mike to get it rinsed off before you arrived. The car had indeed been inspected and serviced, with the technician performing a synthetic oil change, replacing a torn brake boot, putting in a new battery, replacing the trunk shocks, replacing a tag light bulb, and performing an alignment. It is unfortunate that he didn't reset the oil life meter on the dash. In the interest of honesty and disclosure, we put the carfax reports on the website for anyone and everyone to review. You were aware that there had been an accident report on the car, but I'm sure you understand that we can't possibly know the full history of the vehicle, nor was Mike in the car when the damage occurred several years ago. As far as the actual numbers of the deal are concerned, you were attempting to trade a 1999 Plymouth Prowler for a 2005 Chevrolet Corvette convertible as an even exchange. Perhaps the appraiser was concerned that we would not find a ready market for the Prowler, as it is a 15 year old collectible that may be better offered for retail on your own. Again, I apologize that you did not have a good experience. I would offer to rework the numbers for you, but the Corvette sold a few days after your visit.
