Great car buying experience We recently bought a new 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan from Douglas Chrysler Dodge in Venice and were very pleased with the experience. Once we decide We recently bought a new 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan from Douglas Chrysler Dodge in Venice and were very pleased with the experience. Once we decided that the new family car would be another Grand Caravan (our other car is a 2010 Grand Caravan), I began using the Dodge.com website to research all the dealerships & inventory all over Florida. We live just outside of Tampa, but we were prepared to travel to Jacksonville or Miami if we found the right deal. We didn’t have to drive quite so far - the dealership in Venice was 60+ miles from our house, but worth the trip. When I saw a great price on the Douglas Chrysler Dodge website for the model we were interested in, I contacted the dealership and heard back from Internet Sales Manager Bert Desmond right away. Bert answered all our questions and we had an up-front price before leaving home. We met Bert and Robert Pierce at the dealership the following day. Robert took us for a test drive, explained all the features of the new 2015 model compared to our current 2010 van, and made sure the new car was ready to go once we decided to buy it. There are plenty of horror stories on the internet about questionable business practices at car dealerships, but our experience at Douglas Chrysler Dodge was great. Bert and Robert were very polite, answered all our questions, and never pressured us.
