I came in for a regular maintenance and was surprised that it was cost over $500 dollars. I commented on it and was told that it was acts that much considering I don’t drive much and only need once a ye that it was cost over $500 dollars. I had a discount coupon and showed it to the advisor and he wrote down the$80 discount on my estimate. I was expecting it would take 3-4 hours but it was done in record time at just an hour. When I picked it up my discount was not applied and I had to ask them to correct it. I’m not sure I will be back although I’ve been going to this service center since I purchased my car since 2017. I’m just not sure it’s worth the cost and my loyalty. More

My 2007 Toyota Prius alarm kept going off at all hours of the day and night. I asked Downtown Toyota-Subaru to fix it, and they said they needed to keep it for observation. It didn't alarm while a tech was a the day and night. I asked Downtown Toyota-Subaru to fix it, and they said they needed to keep it for observation. It didn't alarm while a tech was around, and, granted, intermittent problems like this are tough to diagnose. But it also seemed pretty clear that they weren't interested in doing even easy things to fix the problem - I had to ask specifically for a visual inspection if what *I* had identified as the likely offending sensors based on a related Prius wiring diagram I had found. And when I asked the dealer if there was a way to fully disable the alarm independent of actually identifying the faulty sensor, they told me very simply "no". (Note, however, that the owner's manual indicates such a configuration change is well within the capabilities of a dealer.) After nearly tearing my hair out looking online for ways to disable it myself, I was eventually able to. I downloaded Toyota's TechStream configuration software (made specifically for dealers and repair centers!), logged into the car, and simply turned that option off; it took all of ten minutes after I had found the correct version of software. And while the original sensor is still presumably faulty, at least I am now no longer angering my neighbors all through the night. I wouldn't recommend going here unless you have a clearly identifiable, purely physical, and easily repeatable problem with the car. Otherwise, as I had asked the dealer when I went in, you're "just gonna be hosed". More
