Sold my truck to driveway, at least I thought I did. Filled out all paperwork and sent my signed title through UPS. Took the day off from work when the said they would pick it up on Monday. Called several times and was told the driver was still scheduled to be there. Not so much as a call until I called and left a message that I wanted my title back. Would not recommend this company to my worst enemy! More

I had never bought a car online before. It's a scary process for the first time. Even after doing one's due diligence to make sure Driveway was legitimate (it is) and to look at the Carfax It's a scary process for the first time. Even after doing one's due diligence to make sure Driveway was legitimate (it is) and to look at the Carfax report, there's no getting around the fact that you're going to fully pay for a car that you've never even sat in. The initial process of selecting the car, putting down a deposit, signing the contracts and paying the balance went quickly and smoothly. Driveway staff communicated promptly. Getting the car delivered was NOT smooth at all. The Driveway representative responsible for coordinating my delivery was slow to respond to questions, disappeared for long weekends, and never provided a definitive answer about shipping. I finally gave up and solicited the help of a relative who kindly drove me 230 miles so I could pick up the vehicle in person. Once I had the vehicle (which looked as good as its pictures) I discovered that there were two electrical issues affecting the "smart features" of the car. With the excellent and responsive help of Dane Stewart I was able to take the car to my nearest Lincoln dealer to diagnose the problem. He even arranged for me to have the repair done by the local dealer. That is service above and beyond. I'd also like to single out Niki Korkis who coordinated the paperwork side of the transaction. She always responded promptly to questions and followed through on her promises. I would definitely recommend Driveway as a reputable and reliable company with which to do business. They do need to improve the delivery process if it involves shipping the vehicle. My suggestion is that it's better to pickup the vehicle in person if at all possible -- even if you have to fly to another city to do so. Since I paid cash and had no trade in, I can't comment on how Driveway handles those elements of a transaction. I've had my car for two weeks now and am waiting for my license plates and title. The dealer submits that paperwork for in-state purchases, and in my state it looks like a month is a typical time frame for processing. One important note, once you sign the contract, as part of that process, you do need to have proof you've already put insurance on the vehicle. Something Driveway needs to urgently improve: its App which is supposed to allow a buyer to follow every step of the process. It DOESN'T do that. The App is totally useless. More

I purchased a 2019 Lexus UX from Driveway on 9/21/24. Based on how it appeared on the website, I loved the car because I hadn't seen another one like it. You know how when shopping and you finally see the perfect item and get the feeling of "That is it!, That's the one!" I had that feeling and therefore decided it was worth paying for a more costly delivery to bring it from California to North Carolina. The interior is unique and very nice. However, I have yet to see it in person, let alone drive it, because it hasn't been delivered as of noon, Monday, 10/7/24. The car was finally put on the truck on 9/29/24, Clara in shipping updated me about this status via text. I was excited that my car was en route. I checked in with Clara mid week and was told that it was on time for delivery to the distribution center on Friday, 10/4 and would be updated when it was. I am in eastern NC & the western part of NC was devastated by hurricane floods. I became concerned that the drivers wouldn't be able to get through as large sections of I-40 are impassable. I texted Clara and explained then asked her to check on the drivers. She replied "Got It" and kept insisting via text that the vehicle was on time for delivery to the distribution center 10/4. I felt like my text questions were bothering her. By 5:00 pm EST on 10/4, I hadn't been updated about delivery to the distribution center, I texted Clara again asking for an update and if they work late into the evenings. I got a robotic reply, delivery is confirmed on 10/4. She immediately texted me again and added the distribution center is neither open late nor open on the weekends. It was a big let down because I was looking forward to showing off my new wheels on Saturday. I asked her what happened to being on time for delivery to the distribution center on 10/4? To that, she replied that she would have the supervisor contact me leaving me to wonder if there was an accident or some other issue that requires a supervisor to inform me of. I have yet to hear from a supervisor. Purchase process started on 9/21. As of 10/7, as far as I know, the vehicle could be on the moon. I have no idea when it will get to the distribution center. I keep mentioning distribution center in my review because it is important to note that if you are expecting to get your car the day it arrives at the distribution center, you will not. Clara fails to inform you that it must go through another process so only God knows what the final delivery date is. I have no idea when I am getting a car. In the meantime, I have financed the car, and the first payment is due 11/9/24. I am going to be paying for a whole month for a car that I do not have. I considered canceling the purchase. I have been stuck at home with no car since 9/21. My down payment funds are tied up in the Lexus. If I cancel, I will have to wait an additional unknown time to get the money returned to buy another vehicle & start all over again. What a conundrum. I cannot get to my office. I am fearful losing my job & then won't be able to pay for the car. I have been lucky enough to work from home but do not want to keep pushing that. Know that if you are in immediate need a car, do not consider an online purchase where the car is being delivered to you from out of state. I naively made that decision thinking that it could not take that long get from California to North Carolina. I wouldn't be so upset if I was honestly communicated with. But I have been continuously told the car was on time for delivery to the distribution center on 10/4. No one checks to see where the drivers are. Obviously, it wasn't delivered to the distribution center. I haven't yet been informed of that nor have I been told when I will have a car and I am losing money each day I am without one. I am very disappointed. More
