Total nightmare! Brought my daughter’s 2013 Kia Sorrento

in this past summer for a recall on the motor. A new motor was installed in a timely fashion. While the vehicle was there, I asked if they could fix the air conditioning, which had stopped working. I agreed that it was no longer under warranty, and that I would pay for the repair, then the fun started. They kept the car for 2 mos, no loaner car because my daughter is only 18. They claimed that they had tested the entire system, and couldn’t find anything wrong, but the a/c still wouldn’t work. Wait, what??? Everything is fine but it won’t work?? So I got corporate Kia involved, and after getting the runaround from both , I finally was contacted by a Kia consumer affairs regional mgr, who said the case had been closed out by Dutchess Kia, and that they were not asking for any additional help from the corporate level. Nice of them right? So classes were about to begin, and my daughter needed her car back, so I reluctantly picked up the car, a/c still not working. Upon driving the car, my daughter found that the uvo radio wasn’t operating, including the backup camera and hands free phone. Called and left a msg, explaining what the problem was and said I would check the fuse and get back to them. The next day , the uvo system began working again. A few days later the oil pressure light came on, so we brought the car back and the new motor they had installed was found to be defective. It took another week or two, but they installed another new motor. They called and said that the car was ready, but that the uvo system had stopped working again, and that they checked the whole system and couldn’t find anything wrong, but the uvo system will not work and they can’t fix it. I picked up the car, and I was extremely upset at this point, but before taking further action, I decided to google the problem and see what I could find. It literally took me 5 minutes to find the answer and another 5 minutes to get the uvo system up and running again. This should tell you all you need to know about the quality of techs they have working at this dealership. I’ve owned a business in Dutchess cty. For 27 yrs. , and I’m going to make a point to tell everyone about this experience. I’ll never go there for anything ever again, and I will do exactly the opposite of recommending such a poor quality business.
