I have to assume at this point that every Pacifica Hybrid needs a 30 day vacation at the dealership every so often. This appears to be the new normal. Ours spent 31 out of the first 45 days of ownership at the dealer. Now, some 18 months later, it spent 33 consecutive days at the dealership. I am almost 75 years old and have never had a vehicle spend more than an overnight visit in a repair shop. If this had not been a warranty repair, I would have spent about $1,000.00 for a car rental in addition to whatever the dealership charged for the repair. The dealership service rep that I dealt with (Kelly), did nothing but lie to me every time I called (waiting for parts, waiting for a bay to open up, waiting for a 2nd technician to help, need a tool and we are out picking it up today, should be ready tomorrow, etc.). During the final week of the repair, I finally reached someone who seemed to be willing to tell the truth (Jordan who may be the parts manager) and the general manager (Brian Lovelace) whom I called out of frustration the day before the repair was complete. After leaving the dealership and arriving home, the console indicated words to the effect that the rear lift gate was not available. Eventually, I was able to open it via the manual handle on the gate. The gate continues to be a problem. Sometimes the manual handle will not open it (as if it were locked). At other times (either manually or via the key fob), the gate will raise up about one foot and the close itself. Occasionally, nothing will close the gate except grabbing the gate and manually pulling it shut. While driving (and not changing or doing anything), we will occasionally get a console message telling us to put our hands on the steering wheel. If we were in an accident, I am sure our insurance company would love to see that message logged. The time of day on the clock is wrong if set via GPS. If I manually set the clock, the time is correct on the clock but the arrival time on the navigation system is off by many hours. Let me mention that over the past 20 years, we have owned a Toyota T-100, a Toyota Prius, a Toyota Avalon hybrid, and a Toyota Sienna van (We traded the Sienna in on the Pacifica Hybrid. Ouch!!!). Other than scheduled maintenance (which is free for the first two years), none of the Toyotas ever spent a minute being repaired. I am not sure what Chrysler can do to convince me to ever buy another Chrysler product. More
