I purchased my Genesis Coupe in July of 2010. For the purchase I worked with Frank Palmisano, Ron K and Muzzy. The sales team did a great job getting me the car I wanted - it took about 3 weeks for it to arrive and for that period they loaned me a new Santa Fe to have something to drive around in (I had sold my previous car on Craigslist). I have had my car serviced 4 times since the purchase and worked witrh Tim each time. He has given me a sense of trust and confidence in what he recommends and has always provided quick and excellent customer service. When I needed a new wheelwell splashguard, Tim gave me an excellent price for the part and the install. It had come off in a car wash. I purchased a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe, and a 2008 Santa Fe Limited for my wife at the Scottsdale Hyundai on Haydon Road. I was having thoughts about trading both cars in on a different brand. Then I found out that Discover Hyundai was opening just down from the previous location on Haydon. The first time I took my car there I met Tim Hodder. He greeted me immediately upon my arrival, looked up my service records and responded to what I needed done. I have purchased a lot of cars in my day but have never met a service adviser as knowledgeable and friendly as Tim. He is a great guy and makes you feel part of the Hyundai family. I mentioned to Tim that I was thinking about trading in my 2007. He took me and introduced me to Tony the sales manager and to Frank the GM. They gave me a great deal on a 2010 Elantra SE and worked hard to make the deal. When I decided to trade in my wifes car again I went to Tony and Frank and bought her a 2011 Sonata Limited. Again, I will never buy a car from anybody else. Discover Hyundai is a great dealer and I will recommend them to anybody who is willing to listen. More
Tim Hodder, of the Service Department at Discover Hyundai, is absolutely tops in our book for prompt, courteous service, thrown in with a great sprinkling of humor. We especially appreciate the fact that he tells us in very thorough terms what is needed and, most imporantly, when. Tim advised us a few months ago of brake pads that were wearing on our Hyundai, but that they still had XX amount of surface, and would not have to be replaced for a couple thousand miles. He also told us what to look for that would signal the need for immediate replacement. When we took the vehicle back at the alloted time, they still had sufficient usable surface.On our 3d trip (for servicing) Tim advised that "now is the time". This type of attention to both safety needs and our wallets is one of the things that make his service outstanding. Such fun to deal with, too! I usually hate going to get my car fixed but Tim and the Discover Team have made it a pleasant experience. I have never had to wait an extra day to get it back like I had to at another dealership. I love that it gets cleaned too and it always looks better than when I drop it off. Overall, it has been trouble free and I have only had to take it in for routine maintenance and very minor things. I can't wait until I can buy my next Sante Fe from them! More
I have so far have only enjoyed the service department of Discover Hyundai. I have been to several service departments and never had the great experience I have had at Discover Hyundai. Tim Hodder has always stepped up above and beyond my needs. From a noise I was worried about on my Santa Fe to a simple oil change. When I had the noise issue Tim ran my Santa Fe though all the tests and also had it run next to a Santa Fe with the same miles and same year to compare the noise. Each time I have our Santa Fe serviced we receive a free hand wash returning it to us looking better than it did before. I believe a true dealership is not just selling you a vehicle but the return follow up needed to maintain the vehicle. Tim and Discover have always made us feel at home and getting top notch service. Here's my story why I choose Discover Hyundai for service on both of our Hyundai vehicles. Our first Hyundai was purchased from a Scottsdale dealership that went out of business. Soon, a new Hyundai dealersh on both of our Hyundai vehicles. Our first Hyundai was purchased from a Scottsdale dealership that went out of business. Soon, a new Hyundai dealership opened across the street from the first one. It did not take me long to realize that some of the service team came from the dealership that my wife had several disappointing experiences with. Then I bought our second Hyundai and had the opportunity to experience first hand the marginal service she had experienced. I was asked each time to give them a 10 on the follow up surveys. But a 5 or 6 was the best I could do on a good day. I took my complaints of inconvenience and poor service to their management as well as Hyundai America. The dealership never replied or tried to win my business back. That was all I needed to confirm my instinct. So I sought out another option. That is when I discovered Discover Hyundai of Scottsdale (no pun intended). I called to introduce myself and explained how I wanted to develop a lasting relationship, built on trust and excellence with a knowledgeable Service Advisor. I explained that there were 8 of us in our extended family that were Hyundai owners. That is when I met Tim Hodder. Tim assured me of “working hard to earn my 10”, not just ask for it. Every visit to the dealership has been a pleasure. Every employee greets and acknowledges me personally and makes me feel welcome. I believe they understand the importance that without people like me (“customers”), that they would have not have a job or be in business. For these simple customer-service basics, along with honesty, respect and knowledge, I am fortunate to have these folks on my team. It really pays to discover Discover Hyundai. More
