David, When a tire has a side wall puncture from an outside object, in this case, half of a set of pliers that was still in the tire, it is not under warranty. Hyundai warranty does not offer any form of road hazard as part of the warranty no matter how few miles are on the vehicle. Had you purchased the vehicle from us, we typically include a product that would have covered this, I am sorry the dealer you purchased from doesn’t do this. You are thinking of something else. There were no pliers in the tire. There were two gaping holes in the sidewall, and not from something hitting the tire, or from going over a pothole or striking a curb. And this warranty is not through Hyundai, it's through Kumho, the tire manufacturer. The fact that you do not know this further proves my point that you do not understand the warranties that are offered with the cars that you sell.

I do apologize for your service experience. I’m not one to make excuses but the truth is along with just outgrowing our service facility, we also have a staffing problem and are in desperate need of help, which we are constantly trying our best to hire qualified people. On the good side, there are some great improvements that will be coming in the very near future. We will be building an additional service facility that will handle our pre-delivery inspections and our used vehicle reconditioning. We also will be moving the Genesis franchise to a new location in Chandler (the plans are currently being engineered). This will free up our shop so we can service our Hyundai customers and they can get the best service possible. Again this won’t happen overnight but it is definitely happening.
