Do not ever get your diesel serviced here and therefore buy one here. I own a fleet of diesels and will never spend another dollar at this dealership. I had a strange noise coming from my 2016 Cummins with buy one here. I own a fleet of diesels and will never spend another dollar at this dealership. I had a strange noise coming from my 2016 Cummins with 80k miles on it. Took it in, paid the $250 for diagnostics, and was told the turbo was bad. They of course quoted there $7000-$10000 for replacement and decided to do it myself since it’s an easy job. Bought a new turbo and installed it, and same noise occurred. Took it back to the dealership with hopes that the VGT actuator needed calibration where I paid another $350 for calibration, coolant and labor. After getting it back and them fully knowing why It was there in the first place, it had a check engine light, a gallon low on coolant and was still making the same noise when I picked it up. Of course this wasn’t relayed to me before I picked it up. Realizing this dealership was a waste of time and money I went home and did some research and called around. Within an hour I found the problem was an exhaust leak on the egr. In another hour I got the $40 gasket from another dealer and installed it myself in 30 mins and boom fixed. Meaning they made me spend thousands to fix a $40 gasket. Do not ever get your diesel serviced here. Which would also correlate to not buying one here so it has to get serviced here. I own a transport company and I’d rather spend the money to tow my stuff to Raleigh than get it worked on here. I hope I can save y’all some time and money before wasting it here. More
