I was ready to downsize from a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab. Our children were done with college and on their own. I didn't need a large vehicle anymore to cart the children, friends and gear. My husband Rob and I decided to look out there and see what was available. We looked at the Infiniti FX 35 (used) and the Volvo XC 90 (used). I always liked the Equinox too. I knew John Sloan for years and we decided to stop at East Syracuse Chevy to see what was available. John showed me an 2013 Equinox and I really liked it. As soon as we test drove the Equinox, I was sold. I loved the handling of it. I was worried about feeling closed in when sitting in a smaller vehicle because I was so used to the quad cab. It has plenty of room. The other thing that impressed me was the way we were treated at the dealership. My husband Rob did a lot of homework via the internet and asked a lot of questions. John and Mark were both very professional and knowledgeable about the Equinox, the financing and were able to get us the vehicle we wanted at a monthly payment that we could afford with no problem. Although John Sloan and Mark Vavonese were the two main employees that we worked with, everybody else that works at the dealership were just as nice. The receptionist was very pleasant to us and greeted when we came into the dealership. It was a great experience overall. My husband and I were very surprised at how wonderful the salesman and finance manager were to us. They were very helpful and wanted to make sure we were happy with everything, from the car to the financial salesman and finance manager were to us.
