Good price, but mislead and a little too much honesty I drove almost 2 hrs on a Friday night. I had two cars I wanted to test drive. Both were listed on Economy Honda's website, but when I got there only I drove almost 2 hrs on a Friday night. I had two cars I wanted to test drive. Both were listed on Economy Honda's website, but when I got there only one car was at their lot. The other one was at a sister dealership that, of course, closed earlier that they did. I decided to drive back up Saturday to test drive the other car. I called 30 minutes after Economy opened and told them we were heading up as soon as I left work. The salesman was supposed to get the car over to the Honda dealership. After an hour and a half, he called to say someone was looking at the car at the BMW dealership and that he would call. I am impatient so I went ahead and called the BMW dealership and they informed me that noone was looking at the car. I don't really what was going on. I finally received a call from the salesman that he had the car, so we left out 2 hrs later than planned. Also, on Friday night they offered me $13,500 for my trade-in. I told the salesman that a dealership in Huntsville offered me $14,000 the weekend prior. He brought over a manager and he lead me to believe that he would make that right when I came back on Saturday. I tst drove the other car and decided to buy it. They did not budge on the trade in. When I asked about it the salesman said "we can give you $500 more for your trade-in but we will have to mark the price of the car I was purchasing up by $500." He said "that doesn't sound fair but it is how it works." His audacity was un-nerving. Because the car was priced right, I went through with the purchase anyway. Looking back I should have told him to shove-it. I have had the car for a month now and it is at the Ford dealer getting transmission work done on it - the clutch (yes, an automatic has a clutch on the new 6 speed dual shift transmission) went out. Already!! It is under warranty - thank goodness. I haven't even received my paperwork to get a tag. I called three times about it and on the day my temp tag expired, I was told the paperwork "just" came to her desk that morning. She did mail me another temporary tag. I guess it's not a big deal since I can't drive it anyway. It is in the shop afterall!!! More

So my expectations were probably a little higher than the average person. Kenny Reagan met those expectations with flying colors. He was professional, caring, kind and very knowledgeable. He listened to every question I had and answered without hesitation. He was patient when I didn't understand something, explaining in detail. I explained to him what was important to me concerning purchasing a new car. He understood and made it his mission to accommodate me. He was friendly and sincere in all of our discussions and very accommodating when choosing a car, pointing our different features that I would have otherwise missed. As we were leaving, he gave me his card and told me if I had any questions at all about anything to please give him a call. Not your typical dealer experience I am one of those people who hates buying a car from a dealer lot and having to deal with the "sharks" as I call the sales people and the outrageously I am one of those people who hates buying a car from a dealer lot and having to deal with the "sharks" as I call the sales people and the outrageously high "dealer retail" asking prices on the cars. However, I must say that the recent car buying experience I had at Economy Honda was rather pleasant and the best experience I have had at a dealer lot. Economy Honda prices their cars at a much more realistic price, so you don't have to spend hours playing the back and forth offer and counter offer game. And my sales person, Butch Ellis, was great. He wasn't high pressure and he was very professional, courteous, etc... I really liked him and I don't like many sales people! My thanks to Economy Honda and Butch Ellis for a great experience. More
