Know your inventory Called this evening and spoke with a sales person by the name of Daniel. I asked him specifically if they had the make and model car in stock that I w Called this evening and spoke with a sales person by the name of Daniel. I asked him specifically if they had the make and model car in stock that I was looking for. He confirmed with me they had many in-stock. I was prepared emotionally and financially to do business and lease the car. Daniel assured me they would give the best deal possible as the dealership was under construction and it is the end of the month. It took me 40 minutes to get there due to Atlanta traffic. When I arrived he was waiting for me and eager to make a deal. We sat at a desk and he pulled the inventory up and said once again there were many to choose from. I asked what are the color options? Then the sales manager Rohan swung by and introduced himself. He informed me that indeed they DO NOT have this particular car in stock and would be getting a few in possibly tomorrow or by the end of the week. To say the least, I was not happy with that. He stepped away with the salesman for some time. Daniel reappeared and said all he could do is price match another dealership. This took me by total surprise! I thought to myself, "why would I give you my business?" I'll go to the reputable dealership that I first visted and buy the car from them. I'll get my second choice in color but at this point who cares. It is a shame that NEITHER Rohan nor Daniel provided appropriate customer service. "I'm sorry just doesn't cut it." I would have expected them to bend over backwards and make it right. I have been in outside sales for years and know the art of negotiating, compromising, and addressing uncomfortable issues that may arise. It's truly disappointing that your sales and management team have not yet mastered the ART OF CLOSING THE DEAL! More
