DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE! They do not inspect them! Bought a used 2018 tahoe, purchased extended warranty. Less than 3 years and 40k miles the transmission is out and needs $9 They do not inspect them! Bought a used 2018 tahoe, purchased extended warranty. Less than 3 years and 40k miles the transmission is out and needs $9000 of work - they could care less and not doing anything to help out and giving us the run around. They do not i soect used vehicles. There is tons of metal shavings in my transmission, i have perfect driving record and has never been off road. Extended warranty just ran out and they said there is nothing they can do and will not let us speak to a sales manager or GM over the phone, despite several calls and requests to do so. Waited 5 days when we never responded to the “estimate” they sent to an email my husband has never had and didnt bother to call (when he only put his phone number and didnt give them email). More
Brought my 2024 Chevy 3500 Duramax in on friday for them to run the engine codes as the light had come on. Mrs Sheryl ran my codes and when she saw the quantity and extent of the codes she got one of the di to run the engine codes as the light had come on. Mrs Sheryl ran my codes and when she saw the quantity and extent of the codes she got one of the diesel techs to come out and speak with me. He asked me to leave the truck so he could look into it and see whats going on. I reserved a rental and brought it in sunday evening. I requested them to find the issue with the engine itself as it had shut off on me in the road twice with less than 10k miles on an 80k truck. I also asked them to look into a vibration in the front end and to install the factory provided upfitter wiring that Chevrolet gives you when you purchase a chassis cab. Mrs Sheryl called me monday to tell me that they had looked all over the truck trying to find the cause for the issue and that they had found a missing nut on one of the battery ground clamps. Because of this she said it was not covered under warranty. She also said that the tech would drive my truck and check to see what the vibration was but it most likely was balance and that is not covered under warranty either. Lasty she told me that they did not do aftermarket wiring installations and when I told her that it was not aftermarket that it was provided from chevy when I bought the truck she told me that I needed to go to their third party electrical shop in hoover to have it installed. Wednesday she again called me to tell me that the vibration was definitely from the tires. I came back on friday as I was working out of town and before picking up my truck I called and ask to speak with the service manager. I was connected when someone named chris and I explained the dianoses and how both times the truck cut off on me the nut was present on the cable and that I was confident that the nut was not the issue and I more than likely would end up bringing the truck back again when the issue continues. I asked him to look over the bill as I was fixing to be out $400 to them and $500 for a rental and not even have a solution. He seemed extremely uninterested and said he would look at it but I really feel like he did not. Mrs Sheryl was very nice and did her part well. The rest of the experience was extremely disappointing considering the big talk that they do about customer experience. I won't be bringing any vehicles back to this dealership. More
Choose another chevrolet dealer, there are plenty out there. Edwards was hands down the worst experience I have ever had buying a car. Lied to me multiple times. The salesmans inability to tell me abo there. Edwards was hands down the worst experience I have ever had buying a car. Lied to me multiple times. The salesmans inability to tell me about the product and services was laughable. Told me what i wanted to hear to get my deposit, then back tracked on their commitment. The salesmans stock answer was, I dont know and could never find out for me if Chevrolet had pre paid maintainence. Then i got sent to someone who told me multiple times he had been selling cars for 20 years, but never told me the truth. Pick another dealer in the Birmingham area if you want someone with integrity and honesty. Dont deal with Lee House, very dishonest and shady. He will tell you he has been selling cars for 20 years more times than you care to hear. I do have the audio of the entire conversation and the promises that were made that were never kept, but they are useless since honesty and integrity are not part of their sales pitch. More
We had an awesome experience dealing with Wendell Gover! With being from far out of town, purchasing any vehicle, let alone a used vehicle, is a risky and stressful situation. Wendell made it a breeze! We w With being from far out of town, purchasing any vehicle, let alone a used vehicle, is a risky and stressful situation. Wendell made it a breeze! We were immediately reached out to after our initial inquiry, and then Wendell continued to respond to questions including sending pics and videos of the vehicle late into the evening. The day of our visit, Wendell stayed on top of our ETA given the long commute; upon our arrival, we found a smiling face and a beautifully detailed car! Wendell made the experience stress free, and I would strongly suggest looking him up the next time you're in the market for a car! Update: I am keeping the initial review above which was done prior to completion of the transaction to show the difference post completion. BUYER BEWARE! This dealership wrote the book for shady deals. I will keep my review of Wendell the same though I am 100% sure there was "good cop, bad cop" on steroids. Here's the playbook: list a price online that is super competitive, get a buyer excited to come in, hope they overlooked the fine print on the list price (must trade in and must finance through the dealer), low ball their trade in versus KBB, charge $1300 in non-essential "Chevyman" line items (pure profit), drag your feet on completing the deal, and then keep financing options from them so they can ensure they make the most off the finance terms...oh, while haggling you on everything along the way. Here is what happened after my review: Gas - they said they would fill up the tank, they haggled over what gas to put even suggesting I blend two grades to save them money. Windshield - there was a crack that clearly I was the only one to notice. They said they would replace at no cost to me and that it could be fixed near where I live. Then for the next 4 hours I had to do with the onslaught of concessions they wanted ME TO MAKE (drive 7 hours round trip to their dealer to save money, cut me a check for a few hundred dollars and let me pay the difference). Not only that, the paper we both SIGNED that said they would replace the windshield was mysteriously replaced with a paper saying they owed me NOTHING when we got to financing. Thankfully my wife caught it and called the out. Financing - not once did they ask me what terms I was looking for. When I got into finance nearly 5 hours later, they had decided for me what works best for them. When I challenged them, I was told all the interest rates for 48, 60, and 72 months were the same...that's not how interest rates work. There's this thing called "term premium". Assessment of Wendell: certainly played the game of good cop. Jury is out on genuine or not, but I will give him the benefit of the doubt. If he is genuine, he needs to find another place to work. Assessment of "Wizard of Oz" Sales Manager: worst sales manager I never met because he wouldn't come out from behind his curtain to address me. I get they have a business to run, but this was one of the shadiest experiences I have ever had. I will update this post after my windshield is fixed to let you know if at the very least they made that right...though I have low expectations. More
Purchased a vehicle from this dealership in May. 2 days later the vehicle would not start. As it turns out the battery terminal was loose. I was provided with a blank key at the time of purchase and 2 days later the vehicle would not start. As it turns out the battery terminal was loose. I was provided with a blank key at the time of purchase and was not able to enter the vehicle to fix the loose battery terminal. I had to call a locksmith to come out to get into my car. Regardless of being told that I would be reimbursed for this, I have yet to see that reimbursement to date. All vehicle purchases come with 4 free oil changes and 2 tire rotations. Saturday, 08/05/2023, I went in to have an oil change completed and a tire rotation as well. It is Monday and my TPMS light came on. I took it to Mavis Tire to have it repaired. There was a valve stem leak and ALL of my tires were over inflated. I am pregnant. I would not recommend this dealership or its service department to anyone by any means. More

I would not refer anyone here. At least not for a used vehicle. Our sales person was great but everyone other than him has not been. I understand when we bought our car that we buy At least not for a used vehicle. Our sales person was great but everyone other than him has not been. I understand when we bought our car that we buy as is with a used vehicle, but to pull off the lot and one hour later have to pull on the side of the interstate because our windshield wipers don’t work at all and we was stuck in a pouring rain. I will also say this place is 40 minutes from my home and 1 hour and 15 minutes from my work. I was told to come there for the situation could be fixed. I leave work and I get all the way there and was told no one was there to look at it. Then two weeks ago my check engine light came on so we made an appointment to get it looked at. We get there and are told that the Warranty that as told to us was bumper to bumper for 2 years, would not cover the issue. Then we are told that we should have been getting the oil changed every 4,000 miles when we were told when buying that we we would need to come every 5,000-7,000 miles. So this has me looking over my paperwork and yeah that “2 year warranty” nope it’s 2 years or 30,000 miles. That was NOT told to us or it would have been pointless for us to buy. I drive 70 miles daily, so we would go through those miles before the first year was over. So we added a $60 extra charge on our payment that won’t even cover the issues we have and will expire soon because we are close to the expiration miles for nothing really. This place does not disclose information properly or tell you how to take care of your specific vehicle. I will never buy any vehicle with this place again and would not suggest anyone to. Which is sad because our Sales person was actually nice and helpful, it’s just everyone else there. More
