Chevyman...Chevy NEVER AGAIN! On April 4,2019 after working night shift at a local Birmingham hospital I discovered my car had been broken into and vandalized! I immediately contac On April 4,2019 after working night shift at a local Birmingham hospital I discovered my car had been broken into and vandalized! I immediately contacted my insurance company, Allstate, made my claim and entrusted my car in the car of my local neighborhood Edward Chevrolet located at 1400 3rd Ave. North, Birmingham, AL 35203. Usually I deal with a service advisor by the name of Craig, but was advised by the clerk who set up my appointment to try Jonathan Cushen (Service Advisor 777). Let me just say that was the BIGGEST mistake ever and definitely stick to what you know at this store. Initially, I was told that they would have my car for a few days which was fine. I understand that this is a service department and they do have other cars. My only damages were a busted window, dashboard damage, and radio replacement. I gave them my car on 4/9/2019 and did not receive my car back which was only HALF COMPLETED on 5/9/2019. They had my car for over a month and it even wasn’t complete, and they INSISTED that I pay the full amount in order to get my car back. My service advisor was very unprofessional, did not order parts in a timely manner, and did not call me not one time during the duration of the time when my car was in their custody! The only time I spoke with him was when I called him to acquire about specifics as to what was being done to my car! I was told that parts were ordered for my car the first week I left it which was a LIE, and where not ordered until 4/18/2018 when the additional estimate repair paperwork was FINALLY sent to Allstate my insurance company. What where they doing for that long where my car could not be assessed and information communicated to my insurance company? On top of all this when they finally ordered parts for my repair, my advisor ordered a radio with a display on back order, in which they had no idea as to when this part would come in, and I was told it could be weeks or even months! Why would you order a radio with a display on back order anyway, as it was USELESS to me!!! RIDICULOUS!! They were not sympathetic with me at all and my advisor stated, “it was all about the money” with them, I definitely felt like I was not valued as a customer. I had to argue back and forth with them when my rental was finally up, and beg them to pay for it because their negligence and repair delay caused me to be careless for an extensive amount of time! Which is the reason they had my parts over-nighted, rushed to HALF complete it, and insisted I pick it up as is until the rest of the parts were received, because they didn’t want to play for me rental car!! My insurance company cut them a check for over $2300.00 and I left there with a HALF completed car and a check for $269.00 to get the rest of the repairs completed myself because of the HASSLE and UNPROFESSIONALISM expressed at this store and I was over dealing with them! I definitely will not be buying any more cars from them, having any services performed there, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend anybody to go there!! This was so shocking to me, because I bought my car from them, and have been a customer for years, definitely a disappointment and inconvenience for me! More
