Frustrating and Inconvenient service department I've purchased two new trucks since 2015 at Edwards downtown and I've had very good experiences with their sales department, but their service departm I've purchased two new trucks since 2015 at Edwards downtown and I've had very good experiences with their sales department, but their service department has always been terrible from my point of view. Issues -They don't have a shuttle service unless you work downtown. I don't. Every other service shop I've worked with will shuttle within a 10 or 15 mile radius. They seem completely oblivious to this issue and not interested in correcting it. -I purchased a new 2018 Silverado a couple of weeks ago and they could only find one key. They promised another key and key fob. I returned to get the additional key set and was told beforehand it would take an hour to program. It took almost two hours and they programmed the keys incorrectly for driver 2 and driver 3. No driver one key. It was late in the day so they told me come back another day and try again. When making the second appointment I told them I didn't have another two hours of my time to spend waiting. After a very tense conversation with Scott McKee and a call back they reluctantly agreed to provide a loaner for this service appointment. Keep in mind I purchased a new truck for which they still had not provided what was promised from the sale and they were irritated at me for not wanting to spend another two hours of my time waiting. -Also, while on the phone with Scott Mckee I asked about a concern I have with the truck coolant temp while towing. The coolant temp seems to be significantly higher than normal in certain situations. Instead of considering my concern, Scott immediately (over the phone) decided there was no issue. He didn't research service bulletins, or consult with a mechanic or even consider there may be an issue. He decided instead to read the owners manual to me. If I was running the service dept at Edwards I would certainly want to know about this lack of consideration and lack of respect for customers, but this is only my most recent experience. It's been this way every time I've dealt with them since 2015. I've used Hendrick Chevrolet service for the past several years and that's where I'll take this new truck for service as well. Edwards Chevrolet, I'll see you when I'm ready for a new truck. You won't see me in the service department again. More
