My wife wanted me to mention 2 guys she thought really carried the ball on getting us the service we expect from a dealer (Teddy lastname? and Don Blevins). Teddy got her a loaner when it looked for awhile like they were again going to drop the ball and leave her hanging because she didn't arrive first thing in the a.m. with the Murano. Don did a fantastic job of following up to make sure expectations were met. Thanks guys! I hope the service provided when we bought the car was an anomaly because the service we got afterwards has been EXCELLENT and it's too bad the original review had to be written but it was deserved. I'm going with "anomaly" and re-rating both the purchasing and service experience overall as GREAT. Thanks Lake Manawa Nissan for turning the entire experience around from good to great. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. By the way, my wife absolutely loves her Murano..check this model out (at Lake Manawa Nissan-ask for Eric the great :-) if you are in the market for an SUV. 8-24-2010 My wife and I bought a used Murano from Eric "The Great" Kirksey. We like Eric. He is personable, fair and most importantly, not pushy. He was knowledgeable about the cars on the lot and about the Murano. Eric let us take the Murano for a day or so to see how we liked it and we loved it. Unfortunately, another buyer liked it as well and beat us to the punch on buying it. Eric knew that this potential buyer was coming to look at the car and gave us a heads up but we just could not get there in time. So knowing what we were looking for, another similar Murano was purchased at auction and brought to the lot specifically for us to check out. It was more car then we wanted but we bought it because Eric had gone the extra mile for us. So bottom line, we'd buy another car from Eric without hesitation and recommend you ask for Eric Kirksey if you're heading to Lake Manawa Nissan to buy a car. Now, about the service department. We weren't so thrilled with them because they would not respond to Eric's requests to detail the vehicle (they had it for a couple of days knowing we would likely buy it but nothing was done on it and we ended up having to take a dirty car home because we could not stay any longer). This is not a reflection on Eric because he pushed as hard as he could to get them to detail the car and they just ignored him. That said, we brought the car back today for detailing and to get a couple of things fixed that should have been fixed had the shop looked at it at all. We have a loaner car now while our Murano is being taken car of. We'll be reporting back on how well they do with that but we are pleased that they provided a loaner for us while our Murano is being worked on so that's a point for whichever department gets credit for that. Overall the car buying experience was good. Had the shop cared at all about detailing it, we'd rate it great. More

Worked with Nick to find a Murano that had low milage, up to three years old. Nick did contact us when he did say they had a 2007 murano that had only 26,000 miles on it. Well Ben was a very helpful and friendly guy as soon as I showed up at the dealership he greeted me, offered his assistance, and even offered to buy me a cold beverage. I had thought long and hard and pored over the internet for 6 to 8 weeks so this wasn't a quick decision. Am now very pleased with my purchase of 2010 Versa. Am already familiar with repair shop for routine maintenance from previous purchase and have always been pleased with their service too. I would definitely shop Lake Manawa again. Teddy was good to us and we enjoyed working with him, but the service department that inspected the vehicle is incompetent and Chuck the general manager was a jerk to me. He told us that the service department did an inspection of the 2001 Nissan Xterra we bought, and didn't find anything wrong with the vehicle. so I took his word for it. But when I got the vehicle home I discovered that the 6 disc changer did not work, I called and they said they would compensate me for it, still waiting for the check. I am a mechanic, so of course I took it to the shop after a week of driving it to check it out. It had a harsh shift into second when accelerating. When I got it up on the hoist, I remove the wheels, the tires needed to be rotated, they didn't bother to do that. The front brakes will have to be replaced soon, they didn't bother to replace those, and the rear brake drums were rusted on yet, so I don't think they inspected the brakes, or even removed the tires to do so. All the fluids looked like they had never been changed, except the oil. I also noticed that the "O/D Off" light flashes when you first turn the key on. Turns out this means that there is a transmission trouble code, so I pulled the code. The Line pressure solenoid valve is bad in the transmission. That is a $400 dollar part, and you have to remove the pan and valve body to replaced it, which means lots of labor time. So apparently the mechanic that did the "used car inspection" didn't bother to test drive it or notice that the "o/d off" light was flashing. I don't think they inspected much of anything. I don't blame Teddy, I don't think he knew that the service department was so incompetent. I called the general manager, Chuck, and he told me that I should have looked the vehicle over better and It's my fault for buying it, and there is nothing he will do about it, and "we don't fix everything on the vehicle". So basically he's saying that I shouldn't have trusted their service department to have inspected and repaired the vehicle, that's my responsibility as the buyer. He got irate on the phone, it was like speaking with a child. And to top this whole mess off, they sold me a vehicle without a title, which is illegal. So I can't license it and drive it because the month grace period is over. They are still trying to figure out how to get the title from the previous owner. You will get screwed here. More
Overall my experience was good. I traded off my old Nissan for a newer Nissan Titan truck. I called and talked to Teddy G about what I wanted and they were able to find me one at an auction within a f Nissan for a newer Nissan Titan truck. I called and talked to Teddy G about what I wanted and they were able to find me one at an auction within a few days. I thought the price was fair and so the deal was made. The things that went wrong were that the mileage was mistated by a few hundred miles - an oversite because the odometer was on one of the A or B screens and not the overall true mileage rating. I guess anyone could have done that. Also, while we were signing the papers, we were told they would fill the tank with gas - and half way home i noticed it was still at 25% - not sure what happened... And last - it took 34 days to get the title sent to the court house so that I could get it registered. I was technically driving illegal for a few days. So - three small things that made me frustrated - But i was still able to get the truck i wanted at a fair price and Teddy was good to us. More
