I am pleased that you are taking the initiative to attempt to repair the poor relationship between the previous GM of Elder Ford and my family. However, I am not sure how much you can do remedy the situation. You can refer to the facts that I have stated in my review; Elder Ford has taken no responsibility in assisting me with the reinstatement of the voided manufacturer's warranty and/or the reinstatement of the extended warranty. As a matter of fact, Elder Ford refused to even assess the problem with the transmission and blamed the issues with the car on “driver error.” Elder Ford had no inclination to assist me with these struggles, and would only work with me about the transmission repairs if I was willing to pay for it out of my own pocket. After a year of the car sitting in the garage while making the payments on loan,car insurance & paying for a rental car, I had to hire an attorney to help deal with these issues. I have since repaired the transmission at a reputable transmission facility. To date, there is still no manufacturer or extended warranty on the car, even though it now has about 10,000 miles on it. As of right now, even if the manufacturer's warranty had been reinstated, I am now beyond the three(3)years, so in effect I've lost 15 months of my manufacturer's "warranty". If anything breaks on the car, I am responsible for financing the repairs. So, I ask you Mr. Tompkins, what is it that you can do to help me change my opinion of Elder Ford? Are you able to offer a written extended warranty(bumper to bumper-75,000 miles-exactly like the one that I originally purchased which was voided)on the car at Elder Ford's expense? If you are willing to try and make up for the issues I've had with the previous management, I am willing to amend my review based on your actions you can reach me via email at soccermom@cfl.rr.com
