Now, I think bad past experiences clouded my judgment. The dealership and management went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with the work and completed a second diagnostic due to my concerns. They were respectful, listened, and put in overtime on my car. I am not big on dealerships, but I would definitely recommend this dealer and will probably go back for all check-ups and maintenance work on my vehicle. The only reason I might bypass this dealer is because of my less than patient behavior as a customer, not theirs as a car service location. Even for a customer like me, they went out of their way to ensure my safety and ensure that I actually understood WHY my car acted the way it did, which is rare for some service connected businesses these days. More

When I came back the next day to ask about some items I wanted for car, I worked with Anthony & Dan and ordered items. Also got answers about parts from Sean and Chip in parts. Completely Shocked My dear beloved old car died after lasting a mere 479,821 miles and I needed to by a new car. The transmission on the old thing suffered a spectacular My dear beloved old car died after lasting a mere 479,821 miles and I needed to by a new car. The transmission on the old thing suffered a spectacular failure (it was spectacular, I was there) and the cost of fixing it was more than the car was worth. I was driving my Dad's old truck to and from work (which is in Turlock, so I drive 175 daily to work and back at 14.1 mpg) and the fuel bills were killing me (even at $2.40/gallon and I shudder to think what would happen when prices went back up). I don't know anything about cars or buying them, but I've been doing research and narrowed my selection to three vehicles, the Volt the clear lead. I found myself near Maita while doing some errands and thought I'd stop and test drive one of the three vehicles I'd narrowed my focus to. They had a very nice used Chevy Volt on the lot in simply perfect condition. Mark took me for a test drive and he was able to answer all my questions and show me stuff I didn't know. The more I drove the Volt, the more I knew it was the car for me. I am a big guy (300 lbs.) and need some room, yet I was as comfortable in the Volt as if in my own bed. When we got back to the dealership, I thanked Mark for his time. He offered to run some numbers for me so I could see what I would need to buy. I agreed more out of curiosity than anything else. No one could possibly sell me a car today! They'd be out of there minds. I didn't think I could buy a car without a huge downpayment and all sorts of stuff (a trade-in, pay stubs, income tax records, and bank statements, for example), but Mark introduced me to Anthony who put together a deal on the spot that allowed me to buy the Volt right then and there. I was floored. This simply couldn't be. Yet, as I write this, my new Volt is sitting at my house charging away. The staff was incredibly helpful, for Mark for the test drive (and actually knowing his product thoroughly), through Anthony putting things together to make the purchase happen, and Thomas in the finance dept. (who, btw, is the author of Be Your Own Salmon, a great book on "swimming upstream in the wild river of life") who put the details in place. There wasn't any pressure. No one tried to fast talk me or work me over. The staff was like Joe Friday from Dragnet, "just the facts." Yet, they knew how to make things work for me, not some cookie-cutter client with everything in place. Seriously, what I didn't think was possible in my wildest dreams, Maita Chevrolet made happen. I walked in thinking a new car was an utter pipe dream for weeks to come and drove home in my new car. More
