We went to Elk Grove Subaru to test drive and compare a 2012 Legacy (4cyl & 6cyl) since they were the only dealer in Sacramento and Placerville that had both cars on the lot. Paul was very knowledgeable about all the features inside and out. We found him to be very accommodating and we appreciated his quick answers to all our questions. I got a fair deal on my trade-in and found their no haggle pricing a pleasant surprise. When a problem was discovered with the vehicle I purchased, the dealership unwound the deal and found me an exact twin with all the options I wanted. They even sold it to me at a better price! We drove nearly three hours each way to get to Elk Grove Subaru (four times!) and it was well worth it. They had a fantastic price on the internet and that is what got us there. However, the price was the only the beginning of this being a great car-buying experience. There was a problem, a big problem with our sale. I think at this point most dealers (at least the ones I have worked with in the past) would have said, "sorry," and let the customer walk. Dickson said something like, "I can't make any promises but let me see if I can work this out." He called us back and had gotten us exactly the car we wanted - all options, everything. All businesses will have misunderstandings; this is where Customer Service is tested. It is at this point a business can blow it with a customer or earn a customer for life. Dickson made sure that it all worked out for us and we are very happy customers with our new Subaru. Elk Grove's commitment to delivering great customer service is real - not just a slogan. Plus, Subarus are fantastic cars and the new ones are even better and nicer than the old ones we have come to love after many years of driving all kinds of conditions with no problems.
