I only needed a inspection,which the price was $10, I paid with my credit card the service rep said I would be charged a 35 cent fee. I think this is petty. Showed up for an oil change late. I came from Oyster Bay which is not a short ride especially in rush hour. Jeep stopped servicing oil changes earlier in the day (which is there policy). I have several dealerships in the past but Empire is the best by far. If I could give ZERO stars I would. First of all, my salesperson Alejandro was arrogant, rude, and combative. He treated me like gold until the moment I said I agreed to a lease. Then I was no longer a salesperson Alejandro was arrogant, rude, and combative. He treated me like gold until the moment I said I agreed to a lease. Then I was no longer a priority. He then worked with other customers leaving me for 4.5 hours waiting for all the paperwork. He would check back in once an hour or so but with no real information. He didn't even set up insurance from me. I had to ask another employee to help me. Just as I thought I was done, he handed me another stack of paperwork to fill out (which I could have completed in the 4 hours I had been waiting at that point instead of playing cards with my friend to pass the time. Then, finally I was ready to sign the paperwork, he said he was going to swap my plates out. He did not. He waited until I was ready to go to do that. I inquired from another employee if Alejandro was new. (If he was, I would have cut him some slack) The employee said, actually he is not and said to me that all Alejandro needed to do was ask for help if he needed it. As Alejandro was putting my registration on, he had the audacity to tell me that in fact he was not new and he has sold the most cars out of everyone there, I said "Well you could have fooled me". He said, "Well I guess you have never worked with a busy salesman before." I then told him he should be embarrassed that someone thought he was new. Clearly the comment I made about him being new not only got back to him but it must have triggered something for him to bring it up to me. I finally left without even being shown how to operate my new vehicle because the time was now 8:15pm; one hour and 15 minutes AFTER closing time and quite frankly I was exhausted seeing as though I had been there since 3:30pm. I didn't think things could get worse.....BUT THEY DID. Today I received my check as they were making my last lease payment on my previous car. They owed me a check because I had already paid it as it was due the following day. I get the check....and it is WRONG with a differential of 63 dollars. Someone juxtaposed the numbers and issued me a check in the wrong amount. I will be asking for interest accrued on the differential since I have to wait now another 2 weeks for a reissuance. In fact, it could be longer than that because when I called today, not only did I not get through to a financial advisor but when I asked to speak to the manager, they sent me to his voicemail. I have had many cars and have leased many cars and this by far is the absolute WORST experience I have ever had and Alejandro was a poor example of what someone in customer service should be. I could go on and on: talking about how staff behind "the desk" were not wearing masks with customers in the store, and many more examples of how rudely I was treated, but I hope I have made my point! Stay far away from Empire Jeep Dodge Chrysler Ram of West Islip. Update: I had a gentleman by the name of Frank Perez contact me after I originally posted this review on google. He apologized and personally invited me back to the showroom so I can be shown how to use the features of my new car and also promised me the difference in the check error. That was on December 8th 2020. I emailed him that day with a copy of the incorrect check and the check request from the dealership and STILL have not heard back from Frank. It is now January 5th 2021. Just shy of a month later. I emailed him on December 21st asking why I had not heard back from him or received the rest of my money and he never answered. I WILL get what is owed to me one way or another. But this type of customer service is absolutely unacceptable. More
