Horrible!! I never go to a dealer (this dealer in particular) for repairs or service. This visit solidified that. The service rep told me bold face lies about what was needed to repair my car. Told me I had a transmission leak and that I needed a new transmission. Told me that I needed to replace a perfectly fine part (air mass sensor) that had just been replaced with the Nissan part. She said all this with such a matter of fact smug attitude. After I called her on her lies about the transmission leak, she backed off and gave me a bloated quote for xxxx near $700 to replace the air mass sensor and reprogram the ECM. (I have also had the same experience with Rt22 Nissan when I purchased this car in 2012.) I told her to please just give me my car. The very next day I took my car to Nissan in Springfield where all they needed to do was reprogram the ECM for $135. I’m certain Rt 22 Nissan believe they can run their business in this fashion because they deal with uneducated ignorant minorities in the Newark area. I’m sure they work hard at exploiting every opportunity that arise. Need less to say, as God as my witness I will never patronize rt 22 Nissan again 🖕🏾. More

Terrible, unprofessional. I went to route 22 for a oil change, I waited for 2 hours and still didn't get the oil change, ok, they were back you would think someone will come ou I went to route 22 for a oil change, I waited for 2 hours and still didn't get the oil change, ok, they were back you would think someone will come out and tell me that, they tell me they are backed up after I told them to get me my van because I am leaving after waiting for 2 hours. They treat there customers like animals, very sad. More
Management on this facility is awful. Low quality service I brought my vehicle, 2013 Nissan 370z, to Route 22 Nissan Service to have it inspected because it was overheating. A week later I was notified that t I brought my vehicle, 2013 Nissan 370z, to Route 22 Nissan Service to have it inspected because it was overheating. A week later I was notified that the overheating issues caused damage in the engine and needed to be replaced. At first I reached Nissan HQ to claim the warranty but it was voided for an aftermarket intake modification. After weeks later, they came to the conclusion that the warranty that I paid for ($3,000) would not be honored. Furthermore, I spoke to the Service Manager at Route 22 Nissan to inform him that I've decided that I will be paying for the engine replacement since I needed the car as soon as possible and that was my only way of transportation at the time. Moreover, Anthony, (the service manager) and I agreed to have call me in every fix that would be done towards my car. I requested the dealership a loaner car in the mean time since the fix might take a while and also the bill would be very expensive, they refused to do so. They took about a week to find a new engine, took about another week to inform me that it will take a couple of weeks to fix the car. The communication was very bad at the beginning but it was already too late my car was already taken apart to get the new engine replaced. A week later I called and they told me that my cars engine was replaced but now I need a new fuel pump in order to work properly, I agreed because he called me and inform before he proceeds and fix the car. Few days later I called because they would not call me to let me know the status of my car. The car was then fixed and ready to be picked up. The bill was $6,596.35. The car ONLY lasted a week before starts overheating again, took the car back to the dealership and was told that the aftermarket lines of the oil cooler were rusted which caused an oil leak, they blamed it on an aftermarket oil cooler lines although the car stock also comes with an oil cooler and its lines that goes to the engine. For instance, if the problem was the rust they could've seen it within the time they had my car for because in order to replace the engine you have to inspect every part you put it back. They did not hence why my car lasted for that short period of time. I requested for a courtesy vehicle since now is my second time coming, they approved. Few days later go by and not a single email nor call from them. I finally get to talk to the service manager and he recommends me to get the oil cooler lines where I originally bought them before, Anthony and I agreed. Later on I called the service advisor, Nicole, and told her that it would take a week to get the lines since its coming from California. Her and I agreed and reminded her that I still have their courtesy vehicle. A week later as mentioned, the oil cooler lines were delivered personally to the dealership. A week later go by and not a call, so I call them to ask the status of my vehicle and they replied that they don’t know where is the oil cooler lines that I brought to the dealership. I then drive to the dealership to see what’s going on to just find out that they found the oil cooler lines just at the moment I arrive. I then talk to the service manager that this is unacceptable and they have to keep accountability of the car parts that are delivered by the customer. During our conversation I mentioned that I still have their courtesy vehicle, he then mentioned that he had no idea otherwise he would be more on top of what’s going on with my car. I still had their courtesy vehicle and this is when I figured that the communication here on the service department is unbearable. He mentioned he will take care of the car and I told him if there is anything to please call me before it was done. Anthony and I agreed. Few days later he calls me that the car needs a new part, he mentioned it was an engine part which I found rare since he just replaced the engine, I just wanted it my car done so I agreed and the bill was little bit over 400. Furthermore, few days later go by and I get another call that my car is running rough and needs to be test driven more to diagnose the problem. Finally, few days later go by and no calls nor emails from them. I called and request to talk to Anthony, the service manager, he then tells me that my car has been done and is ready for pick but only more thing was fixed and now the total was over 900. I was very upset at the fact that he made a fix without any notice to the customer. I disagreed with the new bill and then he mentions that he’s charging me this much because I had their courtesy vehicle for too long. Keep in mind that this would never happen if they had good communication and logistics within their line of work. I feel like I’m being robbed since I recently replaced the engine. But now he threatens to put the car back together back to how it was, not running; if I don’t pay the total bill. I believe that I’m being generous enough on agreeing to pay just one part (engine part) of it since the engine was recently replaced by them, also this would never happened if they would inspect my car before returning to me saying that its running with no problems. Although I had no vehicle for transportation I returned the vehicle that was loaned and my vehicle that was recently repaired was still there since there was no concurrence on the current price because not only the fix was done without my agreement but also the repair shouldn’t happened since their recently replaced the engine. I ended up paying what they were asking for because not having transportation was hurting my daily schedule. To conclude, i request to be refunded on the last service that was done since I did not agree to such fix because it did not make sense to fix what was just repaired; the mismanage, disservice and unfairness on how this case was treated was an awful experience since I put my trust and my money to get my car running.
