I apologize for the last visit you had here, we certainly should have informed you of the fact that your vehicle needed an emissions inspection when we looked at your registration. We could have then informed you that the vehicle would have to go to a shop that we work with to get emissions inspections done. This is not the usual way of doing things however the advisor was hoping to get it all done without calling and causing unnecessary concern, his intentions were to get the vehicle finished by the end of the day despite sending it to another shop then having to get the vehicle and finish the safety inspection here. The least that the advisor could have done was apologized. Calling me and informing me of what was going on with my vehicle would have been the proper and respectful thing to do. Leaving a customer in the dark was not. And as I mentioned before, I was not asked or even told that my car was going to be driven by someone else, somewhere else. That could have been a huge liability issue, god forbid something happened. And lastly, Ertle should make their customers aware that they do not complete emissions at the dealership. Witholding that information comes off as shady, and makes the dealership look bad.
